I've asked around and recommendations have priority but don't be shy, send to the Chief Piot and the HR rep. There will be a class of 12 in Sept and then after that, who know. The reserve is looking to be about for a few months, BUT, you get 12 days off per month, and your work consists of 1...
Heard yesterday, through the grapevine that ALG has let folks go and it is due to USAIRWAYS being jackass about the RJ issue. Heard the the RJ's will go to mainline and not to the wholly companies (ALG, PSA, PDT).
Also heard that USAIRWAYS is going back on there contract with there connection...
Here is the bottom line. The class could be pushed back for two reasons: 1. no one is leaving the company for other jobs 2. they will be getting two more aircraft for June, which means there will be a need for FO's then. This came from the horses mouth:
"We will initiate service to BGR on...
Jaymac,
The first statement is true, ANY company would like to see no gaps in employment / school. The whole 10 year check was and is done for serurity background check. After 9/11, all new and future airline employee's will have to go through finger printing and a FBI background search.

Does anyone know of a Palm Pilot program that allows flight time entry? A pilot at CommutAir had it, but I can't remember the name of the program.
Thanks
I stand corrected. Everyone is right, they did not pick up the tab, the per diem covered it. I'm sorry for the wrong info. That is what I ment, the new hire does not have to pay for it, it is covered by the per diem.
You don't need a crash pad while your in training, the compay pays for the hotel. Wait till you get a base assignment and then start asking about a crashpad.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully there would be some firm answers from the company soon. I got my old job back, but who knows whats going to happen with CA.
Keep the blue side up and I'll see you in the system.
I was woundering if anyone has heard what is going on with the ALG pool. I heard that there was a delay in the delivery of aircraft which is delaying the pool. Is this true? Any info would be great.

F.Y.I.
There WILL be a new hire class in early April. The last of the furloughed pilots will be in recurrent class on March 25th. The interviews start in a week or so. We have @100 pilots and need to get back to 225.
Congrats. I also interviewed on Jan 23, but I have not heard anything yet. I've been away on military duty, but had people check my mail and my calls. But nothing.
How long was it that they sent you the letter? Did you also get a call?
Thanks, and congrats.

Open question to anyone who interviewed with ALG. How long did it take the company to contact you reguarding the interview? Normally, if they want you, a call is given within a two day period. If they don't, its like applying to college, you get the thin, light enevlope.
Any info would be...

Is there anyone out there who has interview info for Allegheny? The two web sites that would have this info, has no details. It only has ... "woke up at 7am, arrived at 8, took a test and a brief one on one interview."
Something with more detail than that would be appricated.
