Careless and reckless you were not using a recommended or approved pattern entry and if a midair occured you would have been cited it for not following a recommend procedure as per the aim at some point the other guy in the pattern was lower than you and had right of way how came first the jerk...
Because at the time it was'nt a big deal but he reported me to the airport manager so I got a little pissed, however it was'nt my fault I had been in the pattern for a hour he came in and made a doglegged 45 degree final entry, guess he had to save another .1 or something.......
Yes out of a 7000 foot strip you would be limited to 15,000 which would be plenty of fuel to go two hours you could probably carry 4+ hours out of that strip. That is a CAWI (alcohol/water injection) TO I did'nt run the dry charts.
Hi,
Just hired as a SIC/FO for a 135 company what is the value of time turbine time under 20000 lbs? I have mins for the other regionals, so not sure what to do. I will probably make Captain in less than a year so then it will be turbine PIC. This a/c is similiar to a 1900 in size, but I...
I have never seen a carb heat, mixture or throttle with a spring on it, and if you do that and its not a originally part of the airplane don't you need a 337? It would be a good idea to have it on the mixture or throttle. The mixture cable on my a/c is clamped to the carb control by a allen...
BTW as above pull the throttle to idle on the runup with carb heat, it should never quit it is never normal, it is worse case scenerio as on the landing the engine will be warm and idle slightly higher anyways, idle can differ between ac on the C-170 its like 350 rpm very low.......
I had this happen and we took of anyways had a engine failure in the stall headed engine ran funny the whole time headed back to the airport and then another engine failure on final landed the ac deadstick then limped back into the ramp......Messed up carb maybe even the settings but a messed up...
Thats true, I'm sure theres alot of guys on this board that have had anxiety at some point or even depression but please guys don't take this stuff while flying, its probably worse than drinking and flying.
Anybody ever flown a Metroliner the 18 pax one. Not sure of the type I think its a III. What did you think of it? What does it rotate at? What does it land at? Is it a hard turboprop to fly?
Thanks
Theres only a certain amount of work the FAA is going to put into finding a problem, it could have been something they could'nt duplicate. Mags, carbs, even cylinders can have intermitant problems. Sticking valves don't always stick. Mags sometimes run great till the coils heat up and then...
You cannot remove a "accident" aircraft unless 1) the NTSB has investigated 2) if you have to move it IE runway etc, it has been sketched, photographed measured, distances have been taken etc" Thats all in 830 that you just cited. The point I am making is NORMALLY gearups are incidents but...
Sure, just not getting over technical the definition still stands as far as a accident is concerned. If you want to get technical you don't have to be a mechanic to pull a cylinder just be supervised by a AP.
Look up the definition for substantial damage:
Substantial damage” means damage or failure which adversely affects the structural strength, performance, or flight characteristics of the aircraft, and which would normally require major repair or replacement of the affected component. Engine...
Everyone including me until after I looked at the regs. A few retired airline pilots at a , mechanics, etc claimed it was a incident and we did'nt need the FAA's permission to move the aircraft, but the cops would'nt let us. So they cussed out the cops calling them stupid etc. ( turns out they...
