I keep hearing about the difficulties in writing the ATA essays on the application. Besides checking for proper grammatical writing, what is hard about it? In other words what kind of questions are they asking you to write about that is giving a bunch of people headaches.
It is almost an unwritten rule that whatever regional you work for, will be a lot tougher to be hired by the mainline affiliated with that wholly-owned. Reasons.......turboprop/turbojet capt at regional becomes FO at mainline.....training cost. Need to upgrade an FO to CA at...
Has anyone heard or have self-stories about moving on from a wholly-owned regional to it's major airline partner. Specifically Chicago Express to ATA? At some airlines it's the kiss of death to move from your owned regional to the affiliated major.

What's the info on chicago express. Anyone know # of planes, orders for more? Minimums and pay? Bases? I've done the search...all i can find is they are the feed for ATA with i think only a MDW base.
The desired 1200-1300 pilots the company and union claim to be on property would seem to jive more with 120 jets than an overstaffed 95. But who knows these days.
I interviewed there and the recruiting dept had said the same thing. (About the possibility of 120 jets). Stephanie had said that the airline would know by the end of this year what will happen to the extra jets.
thanks to those that emailed me the contract. I have heard stories that 95 were the only confirmed orders for Pinnacle. But i've also heard that it is now 103 confirmed orders. Any insight? BTW, from the latest seniority list, how many pilots and planes are there now? Thanks
Can the person who sets up the website with all those airline contracts put the Pinnacle one on there if possible? Or anyone else with the ability to post a Pinnacle contract somewhere online.
Thanks!
Could any ASA pilots PM me if they know or with info on how I could get in touch with ASA pilots Chris Palliardi and/or Robert "Sean" Frady. Appreciate it!
Just a question of curiousity for you skywest pilots flying, What is the average ages of the pilots at Skywest - EMB and CRJ CAs and FOs? If you have any info on this just from everyday flying experiences I'd appreciate it. I know here at Eagle the jet CAs are almost all in their 40s or above
I don't know if this info has already been given on here. If it has can someone direct me to the thread but, what are all the bases for EMB and CRJ and how junior/senior is the DFW CRJ reserve base.
Thank you
