The two most important instruments to a CFI in my opinion are the Airspeed and TC. I could never understand why they are the 2 that are farthest away from the right seat.
Has anyone done his or her initial CFI with them? Or any type of test? I have heard nothing but horror stories and only 5% pass rate on the initial. I would like to talk to others who have had experience with the FSDO so I may be more prepared when I go for my initial in the up coming weeks...
Wow this thread blew up. I was at a bar over the weekend and was talking with a girl who claimed to be a 25-year-old pilot for SWA. Instead of letting her know I had a couple hours in the air I proceeded to ask questions. She seemed to be pretty informed, but I still couldn't get over the fact...
Didn't you just become a CFI like a year ago? Or has time really flown by? I have a good friend who is a FO at eagle for 1.5 years and loves it. If you get based at ORD let me know and we will party it up. Best of luck!

Do I have this right? As the prop control is pushed in the speeder spring tightens and the flyweights move in. which pushes the piston valve down which allows the oil from the engine in and moves the props to a low pitch high rpm.
As the prop control is pulled out the speeder spring loosens...
Can someone sum up in English an easy way to understand the program. How it works etc.. I am preparing for my CFI ride and am a little confused on how it works.
Thanks.
