    All ASA pilots...please read!

So, latest rumor is that the JNC was offered current SKYW contract terms, i.e. pay and work rules, in exchange for one pilot list. And the MEC shot it down. That really pisses me off.

    XJT mediation announced

Because I'm sure that the Neg Comm and/or the MEC's have probably been given a promise of a sweet position in the Crystal Palace with a 6 figure bonus. Need I remind you of the Neg Comm for the '98 Contract. Umm yeah, System Chief and a Base Chief(later asst Chief) if I recall correctly.

    All ASA pilots...please read!

Back when Inc. bought ASA, we were more profitable than Skywest. Then there were the Delta rate resets and the acquisition of Xjet and inheriting their contracts.

    All ASA pilots...please read!

Screw a DTW 200 base. I'd rather go down the road of dual qual. It would be better quality of life for everyone up there.

XJT management at the negotiation table requests.....

Everybody must keep in mind that Management is going for the lowest cost contract that will pass 50%+1 vote. If they improved QOL issues (zero cost), offered the ASA side $1/hr more and then slashed the XJT B-Fund, who knows??? I do know that I cared less about Retirement when I was in my...

What you need to see in the next XJT contract?

My 2 cents (which ain't worth that). I don't care for more money than my peers. But I care deeply about the amount of control the company has over the quality of life items. I missed the George and John days, but I recall the days before King Tutt and his MiniMe (SH). Back then we rarely...

Possible XJT JCBA by Sun, July 21st 2013?!?

I'm voting no unless it comes with the resignation of most management at XJT.

    SKYW MRJ Update

Some of you are missing the Point! The legislation changes will have nothing to do with a Mainline carrier's scope and will have everything to do with the 1500hr rule and crew rest rules. If you don't think that airline management has not already assembled a list of influential lawmakers...

    ASA is staffted well.

You really aren't understanding the issue. UAL and DAL, and AMR do care if we have a staffing issue. We fill their planes. There is no possibility that we get replaced by someone else. Why you ask? Because the pilot shortage has arrived at the regional level. There are no pilots with ATP's...

    ASA is staffted well.

Unfortunately, I believe you are correct on this. Look at what happened with the hanger mechanics meltdown a few years ago. Even today, an ASA mech cannot get hired at TOC. And in the last few years, we have alligned ourselves with the 3 biggest carriers in the US. Fact is, no carrier can go...

More latter day saint squid tactics

Bottom line is 2 ERJ-135's go away.

Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET), SkyWest, Inc. (SKYW): A New Business Strategy

My understanding is that the MRJ's are fleet replacements for our older 700's. You have to realize that by the time these things show up, the oldest CRJ-700 will be 15 years old. Not growth aircraft. Expect them to be Delta paint.

    ASA is staffted well.

Its the return of the Red Arrow without the Red Arrow. I think if they put down 52 Reserve pilots required and then only staff 22 or whatever Reserves to the day, that we are in need of pilots and should call for a Position Notice. If they want to play games then I'm all in. Bye Bye...

    SkyWest, Inc. announces E175 orders

I would bet money that the next play in the Ford and Harrison playbook is the announcement that some ERJ's are not going to have their contracts extended. I know that some were just extended, but that was, IMO, just to get through summer. First ones to come off lease after summer is over are...

New hires dipping out of CRJ-XJT

I know for a FACT that Delta has a list of every no-show to an ASA interview or class. I have talked to the then intern turned FO that created it. Draw your own conclusions with what they do with it. Also of note, this was post sale to Skywest.

    Earnings call

Not pilot related, but company related. Just talked to inflight recruiter and they cant find flight attendants either. In fact, last class had 24 quit before graduating. Thats awesome! Wake Up Mr Holt! The depth of the crap has far exceeded the tops of your boots!

    ASA For A Newhire

I would not recommend XJET to anyone, especially a friend. I think the poop is going to hit the fan this fall. Heck, I also think we are going to implode on these summer schedules. But, back to fall. When these dozen or so 200's go to the desert, I expect displacements in large order. ATL...

How much did you pay to carry jepps?

Ummm not exactly. Remember after the Colgan accident and we all saw lots of FAA jumpseat audits? Part of those jumpseat rides was pub checks. It was found that Skywest pilots were almost an order of magnitude more out of date on their Jepp updates than the rest of the industry. Ya see, ASA...

UAL 175's not coming to XJET

Me thinks that these aircraft will go elsewhere. Then me thinks that ERJ's will get parked when their respective contracts are up for renewal. Our management is stuck in the scare into concessions mindset. The only thing I haven't completely figured out is why our hyper-arrogant...

    XJT Flight-Ops Call summary

I am ashamed that someone actually called in. Seriously, think of the impact it would have had if not one pilot called in. We would be getting the changes that need to happen tomorrow. They are mearly "taking our temperture" to see how fast and how much they need to give in. With all the bad...
