I'm a CFI and it seems like quite a few of my students don't continue to complete their private pilot training for what ever reason.
I was wondering if this is common or am I doing something wrong. I strive to do the best job that I can and always request feedback about my teaching. It must be...
I've been flying to Mexico and have got a couple questions.
Upon returning to the USA from mexico which is usually very VFR, my destination is mostly IFR because of the a weak marine layer. At times this marine layer could cause me not to get into the airport with customs and the next closest...
I was just wondering if there are any good outfits out there to fly for.
Yes I'm young, dumb, and have no experience. I have only had three different flying employers and the pilots get treated like crap.
I know I'm being a baby but what outfits are out there that I could look forward to...
Where can I find information about the histroy of SkyWest? I found a book on the net titled Time Flies about their history and it was printed in 1992. I was wondering if that is too dated or dull.
Where are other good sources of information to become an expert on this company?

I'm a CFI at a flight school and was thinking about becoming a freelance instructor. Many of my students at the flight school have become good friends and I enjoy flying with them. Will I be shooting my self in the foot if some of my students leave with me? One of my main reasons for wanting to...
Looking for any decent Alaska outfits to work for. I might be heading up there and I was wondering if any one could point me in the right direction.
I was also on FLYalaska.net and they provide a servcie for about 30 bucks on all the info on people flying up there. Is that worth it?
Thanks
Just wanted to let everyone know that I bought a kit from Headsets Inc to convert my headsets to noise cancelling and they work very good!!!!!!!
They work better than the high end David Clarks that I demoed last week.
The kit is about $170.00
Is this the standard? Every place I've called
wants you to pay for some training then they might hire you. It will cost at least a 1000 bucks to get started working.
Where can I find information on the do's and don'ts of flying turbo charged light twins?
I got a guy who wants me to fly his turbo 310Q around and I don't know anything about turbos or 310s (besides what I read in the Multi Jepp book)
I know I should get a check out but I want a head start...
My dream job is to fly corp. out of San Diego some where. Any tips on how to land one of these jobs would be nice.
You don't have to remind me of my lack of experience. :) I know that part well.
thanks!
It seems like they are always looking for pilots.
What chance does a low timer have getting a job there?
In the last few months I have sent out close to a hundred resumes with a specialized cover letter to go with each one and I have NEVER heard back from anybody.
Just wondering if it is...
You will be suprised about all the things that you didn't know or forgot.
Not only will your head hurt, but you will sound like a true aviation triva nerd around the FBO.
How much multi time is going to take to get on with any of the regionals that are hiring right now?
I haven't seen any multi students in a while and was thinking about buying some.
thanks!
Is there any people out there who signed up for this program back in the day?
I'm one of them and was wondering if there are any folks out there still trying to figure out what is going on.
