if you recieve 4 four day trips per month with 2 deadheads per four day that would mean you loose 2 hours of pay per month....
If you pick up five hours of open time per month that would net a 2.5 hour gain.
You'd have to have a ton of deadheads to make that worthwhile.
Hmmmmm something makes me think you've never been at the negotiating table, yourself. (let alone have volunteered for anything in your union)

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that the young co-pilot had not been trained to handle the situation and "probably had no clue to tackle this kind of emergency."

That is true...but if influenza kills people they are usually old or have some sort of other complications.
From what I have read so far at least it seems like this swine crap is killing young and healthy people.
I do agree it is blown out of proportion, but the fact that it is killing...

1) You do get min guarantee in training
4) MEM or DTW most likely
5) 24.20 is our current first year wage
7) Yes there is RR, use varies highly
8) You are compincated with per diem ($1.55 for 8 hours)
9) Company pays half of first uniform
