    Filthy Hotel Rooms

Any ASA E-120 guys can agree, the Kings Row Inn in Texarkanna. The truckers starting up their semi's any time of night and let's not forget the drive thru loudspeaker from the Taco Tico right next door. Oh and the 70's decor with shag carpeting, SWEET.

    Verdict is in..Telex 750 vs Bose X

Does anybody have any experience with Sennheiser or the lightweight cupped Telex headsets? The Sennheisers seem to be a very well made headset. Also if your an ALPA member you get a really good discount on Sennhiesers through the ALPA Shopping Mall link on the the home page website.

    Headset for Turboprop??

I've always had David Clarks, their combination of price, quality and customer service is unbelievable. i would have liked the Bose headsets but the price was a little steep when your instructing. Also something to consider is the Bose don't seem to be very durable because they are so light...

SkyWest: How do you do it?

I love how the Skywest guys toot their horns every time these numbers come out. Stop bitchin about DFW ops. It was a great station before Skywest and Chautaugua came in. What do expect when you more than double the amount of flights. Look at the limited gate space available. DFW and ATL...

    Watches

If your looking at a Rolex, you cant go wrong with the stainless steel submariner. Its a timeless design and its durable as hell. No Rolex keeps good time, pretty lousy actually. The stainless is good for everyday wearing plus its works with a suit or something dressier. My ultimate someday...

    Best Regionals To Work For

So true, I'm getting so **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** tired of waiting for a gate at DFW because Skywest has em all taken! It must be nice to just pick up new routes from ASA/Comair and not worry about having to to stand up to your company and raise the bar at contract time...

    Questions for current ASA pilots

Currently in DFW we are extremley short on E-120 FO's. Most of the reserve Capt's are flying as FO's. This could change as i think we have 5 E-120 and 5 CRJ FO's coming out to DFW. Like the previous posts, every month this changes and it probably won't be hard to get to DFW if you did get...

    12 legs a day!

Alot of commuter turbo props don't have an autopilot. The Beech 1900 and J-31 to name a few. Your warrior may have GPS also, but most turboprops don't have that either. Ive flown 8 legs a day without an autopilot, it's ridiculous, then factor in some weather and it's downright unsafe. Shamrock...

I want to be a pilot! Please help!!!

I think everyone is in agreement on this subject, take a few lessons first, and make sure you WANT to do this. I have known alot of people who have taken a lesson then had the instructor sell them everything in the FBO's shop and they never came back. If you can put in the time and effort then...
