The 787 and 777 will most likely be flown by the same crews like the 767 & 757.
Initially it is supposed to go to EWR to be used on the shorter trans-Atlantic flights while things are getting up to speed with IOE, MX....etc.
And this begs the question (besides name recognition) why they are choosing to have UAL do the acquiring?
Do they think they can force the acquiring airline's scope on the entire merged pilot group?
Do they think that they can realize the benefits of JV style ops while stalling on a new JCBA...
One thing to keep in mind when looking at this hypothetical "relative seniority" list from 2008 is that the dates of hire on the CAL seniority list can be innacurate.
CAL publishes the original date of hire on the list. It could be the day the pilot was hired as a ramper during college (or any...
:D
Exactly, who cares what the uniform looks like (or the paint on the airplanes).
If we stand together on the basic principles that we can all agree on we can get this thing started off right. (which will put us ALL on track for a bright future)
If we bog down in the minutia, we won't pull...
Didn't you claim that you were a Christian a few months back?
Examine your posts and this one in particular under the light of the Word that you are supposedly reading.
I thought you were trying to cancel your account? Why don't you do us all a favor and PM a moderator to have them do it for you since you can't seem to figure out this high tech web board?
A promising company provided, Tilton is neutered as the chairman and the board replaces Smisek with an operations guy who knows what the hell he's doing. (CAL's decent quality mgmt left when Gordo left the barstool)
CAL's was the first US airline to fly 747's in domestic service in the early 70's but those original order 74's were gone by '78.
747-200's came back on the property in the 80's with the PEX merger.
9/11 parked them for good.
I found Contract '97 on the bookshelf and
An additional perspective on the pathetic DAL +$1 counter;
its still 50 cents LESS per hour for a 12 yr 737 Capt than contract 97 pay rates.
PLUS the 6hr drop in pay for reserves.
We want our loan paid back in FULL plus interest.
I'm sure they added that in. The massive scope relief and lack of retro more than makes up for that.
Besides, I would hazard to guess they got their info from DAL mgmt, not APC.
...money. The loan is due and I want a return on what I "invested".
So, no f'n way to DAL +$1. I would not vote yes if they capitulated and agreed to our current economic proposal.
We HAVE the leverage. "The rent's due.....and don't you be pullin' that fallin' down the stairs sh*^ again..."
Hell NO to scope relief.
It also "included" no retro. Effective date 1/1/2010. This is just a slick attempt at a counter proposal. What else would we expect from a lawyer CEO who uses twisted language to pretend he's taking a pay cut?
Even though the reps have said there will be no...
I should have clarified. I know for certain that CAL ordered the GE's.
I have not seen what engines UAL ordered for their 78's?
I don't think they have any sort of previous relationship with Rolls Royce so its more likely they ordered GE's as well?
