Leaving 36U tomorrow at 10am. Temp says 22C, 6899' rwy, .78/-.78 slope on 3/21. Preferably rwy 3. Trying to see if somebody can please run the Ultranav numbers for this. Trying to get to Kalispel, MO (KGPI). 4 people, 200lbs bags prefferably. I could check in the am but would rather know now...
I fly a Hawker 800A w/ Honeywell, part 91. The bossman wants to go to Ireland in July. I've been trying to dig around to find out what exactly I need as far as letters of authorizations go. Some people have told me I need to have an NAT/MNPS or some sort of Global Ops manual on the airplane. Can...
If you are flying below FL390, you won't see a difference. If you are at 390-410, you'll see about 7% difference in fuel savings. However, when it's time to sell the plane you'll get your money back from the winglets. It's like a glorified savings account haha.
Thanks for all the good info. By the way it's a Hawker 800A. We have an HF radio. I don't know how to use it lol. I'm sure nothing google can't help me out with.
From what I've been reading, people are getting the solid state hard drive because a typical SATA drive won't work above 9,000' cabin altitude. Well my cabin doesn't ever go above 8,000'. Also, I have never had a problem with a hard drive on my computer when I'm commuting.
Is it really that...
Owner says he wants to go younger (than 1989) and more economical. But by that I think he means he wants shorter runway performance from what I gather when I talk to him. He mentioned the Falcon 200 haha.
I'm headed to Bermuda in November and never been there before. Can anybody give some intel on what to expect, etc. I've actually never done anything that far out over the water. It's part 91, we have a raft.
Thank in advance.
How well do the boots work? I can't fathom why they would make a boot on a 2001 airplane, unless you're Cessna. Not enough power from the engines for hot wing I presume?
Owner is looking at upgrading from the 800A. Spoke with him and he initially wanted an 800XP but now is rethinking that he wants something a little more useful than going from an 800A to an 800XP. I've been doing some comparisons and from what I have found using several websites including...
In our Hawker 800A we have the typical Honeywell NZ-2000 FMS's. Does anybody know how much it costs to get the 875/885's installed? And what would it require to be done to the plane?
Thanks!
Nick
Can anybody tell me subtle differences in the operating costs of a Hawker 800XP and a Lear 60. From what I can read they are pretty much identical as far as range, fuel burn, etc. But what about MSP, CAMPS, and just other operational costs?
Thanks in advance,
Nick
I understand left pitot tube for left side, right pitot tube for right side. However, with one pitot tube ONLY (PE power only, double gen failure) how can you get accurate information to the ADC 1 with just a left pitot tube and no static plates? That just doesn't make any sense to me. You will...
I'm curious why you typically start engine #2 first.
Also, the forward static plates and the right pitot tube is powered by PS2 (forward static plates w.o.w.). The left pitot tube is PE powered. Why would they only put the left pitot tube on PE power? You can't really get much information with...
I know there are a ton of topics on the EBF's and electronic charts. But I need to know if the computers need to be professionally installed on the airplane. I wouldn't want a tablet PC sitting on my lap in turbulence and falling on the floor during an ILS, for example. And to have a computer on...
...rental car company to just take the car to the hotel where we would be. They called us another 2 hours later and said we are outside the hotel with your car. We told them to ******************** off. All this wouldn't have happened if they had the car already there for us like it was supposed to.
