trooper,
Are you serious..........looks to me like you should proof read yourself before you post!!!
" I just hope you speak more clearly then you write"
Shouldn't that be "more clearly than you write"
Stork,
If you don't work there, or are not trying to work there, why try to put down what other people are trying to do? Sounds a little like sour grapes to me....EJA was too smart to hire you.
Yep, I'm headed to EJA. Cant wait to get started. I go to indoc on Feb. 4th and sim March 8 in CMH. So it looks like I'll get to train with the FMZ system like I'm used to. Got the SOP's in the mail, not much different than what I've been doing. I'll just have to change the wording a little...
Thanks alot for the info. The 328 has the FMZ series also. I just wanted to prepare if the FMS was going to be alot different. Sounds like it should be no problem. Thanks again.

Anybody out there familiar with the Excel FMS. I've been teaching and flying the Primus 2000 equipment in the DO-328, and I was wondering how similar the Excel FMS is to the 328 FMS. Does it have hold capabilities? Does it have any approach capability? I mean are approaches in the FMS or do...
Just wondering about sim training. Do you start sims during ground school or is ground completed before sims start. Also, I'm going in the Excel and was wondering how many sim sessions in the syllabus.
Thanks for all the good info I get on this board.

I just made my reservations for Indoc in Feb. at the Town Place Suites. It is a studio with living area, queen size bed and kitchen for $49.00 a night.
Exactly right Metrosheriff, forgot about that one!!! We had the early Metro's at Rio Airways in Texas back in the eary 80's when I was there and before. I missed the 226's thank goodness and flew the Twin Otter. I know one guy who had 9 engine failures in the 226's. He was prematurely gray...
Metros are long, Merlins are short fuselages. Early Metros were 226's that barely flew on 2 engines much less 1. The later ones were 227's, and 23's that were better. Both models of the Metros were Garrett powered. Early Merlins had different fuselages than the later Merlin 3b's. Some of...
flyingdog,
Just wondered if you could edit your post a little bit. Maybe it's just me, but some of the stuff you wrote makes absolutely no sense in the way it reads. Just my observation.
Thanks,

What happens at the end of the one year probation at EJA. Is there a checkride? Also, are SIC's typed during initial or is it a right seat checkout?
Thanks in advance,

Just curious, I think I know what the Ultra's and X's do now, but what kind of schedule do the Excels fly. Long trips, short trips, etc. Thanks in advance.

2000flyer,
I was given the choice of the Ultra or Excel. I took the Excel. I spoke to one other guy and he got the call on the same day and he got the Hawker, so I don't know what you will get. I think it just depends on their needs.
