Relax dude!
I was just wondering if you and your fellow dispatchers ever get a chance to see these type of places from the front of the bus. It's some pretty country.

Great desperate response via your obvious frustration. Well done.

So as a delta passanger, I went from 5x a day in a 737 to 1 flight in a RJ.

Great move.....

Uhhhhhhh, can you provide city pairs please? Are you talking about your SEA to LGB flights via MD80s long ago? Didn't they go to RJs? Oh wait, I think they were just cut for good. That's too bad, looks like JB kicked your butz. Wasn't Jet America based there long ago? That's too bad.

There'll be no MRJs flying for Alaska. The E175s, yes; anouncement coming.

But, AK's lack of specific scope could allow it, right? What is the seat limit on RJs flying for AK?

Bye Bye---General Lee

Ohhhh, well, you guys don't want any competition on any of those routes, even a 76 seat RJ. If the loads are great, maybe a 737 could be used during the next Summer season. But, DL pax will connect onto a Delta Connection plane, which is better than a code share with you guys. All the money goes to DL, and I bet it will help achieve the possible $6 Billion profit next year thanks to lower oil. That would literally be fannnnnntastic.

SEATTLE, Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (DAL) will launch daily nonstop service next spring from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to five new destinations in the continued expansion of its West Coast hub. Tickets will be available for purchase November 22.

Isn't it amazing what all of those NWA, UAL and CAL execs can accomplish when they work together?

The debt will be down to $5 Billion by 2016,(maybe $7 billion now) and it was in the $18-19 Billion range in 2009. I'd say that's a huge amount of debt paid down. I believe some debt would be kept (maybe a "poison pill" for anyone looking at DL as an aquistion), and the other big 2 have a lot more debt total. (AA has $21 Billion in debt now I believe)

You are looking at a revenue monster, and low oil means a possible $6 billion profit next year. Ummm, yeeeah.

Bye Bye---General Lee

With oil as low as it is, look to see ALL airlines significantly lowering "book" debt.

Yeah, and DL lowered debt by $14 Billion in 6 years with higher oil prices. That's the difference. I've heard forecasting a $6 Billion profit next year if oil stays low.

6 billion in profit and new hires still pay for hotel room in training. Go figure.

Partial, not the first two weeks.(which are paid for) But, how's the first year pay rate compared to the others? And profit sharing for the year is included. Use those figures while you're at it Chunder...

At the end of the day they are still paying for training. In this day and age??? Record profits due to bankruptcy and pilots taking huge cuts. Are you guys back to your pre bankruptcy pay rates?

Looks like 757 was too much airplane for JNU. Delta shows a SkyWest RJ for summer schedule. So all outsourced flying to SE Alaska.

I'll save you the post General Lee....

I'm sure you will up gauge to a main line 737 when loads improve........

Everyone knew the 757 was too big, but it sure did a number on your monopoly and profits for that route, and it apparently didn't dent the estimated $4.2 billion profit this year at DL. And as long as there is some sort of DL plane on your routes, the less money you get to charge. You lose. Wut wut? Yeah, you do. Every time you see a DL Widebody in SEA, you probably krap your pants. The answer for you? Buy more pants....

Huge cuts? New hire pay rates per hour are the highest, it includes profit sharing which most others do not, and a large chunk of the training is paid for. It sure hasn't stopped the applications, there will be 165 new hires in Nov alone.

And current pilot rates aren't exactly at pre-BK rates, but include the profit sharing (about 20% of the W2 this year, probably 25% next year), and yeah, they are back, and will be surpassed with the new contract coming in 2015.

You lose Chunder.

That's a huge stretch. Paying for a hotel during training is not pay for training. Signing a training contract or being required to have a type prior to class is paying for training. Regardless of how one spins it, I hope that changes with the next contract.
