The suspect claimed to have purchased the Ipad from a Texas pawn shop, but a source said investigators have concluded that Perkins received data on the device that was transmitted to him before he claims to have bought it, thus undercutting his apparent alibi.

actually this would appear to Support his alibi...the data was downloaded by the previous owner...before he bought it..Possible?

and it appears he's NOT a Delta pilot.....

No, it says he had possession of the data before he purchased the Ipad. Meaning he transferred the data to the Ipad.
