This won't be the same as "last time.". Mesaba pilots found out the hard way. Fact of the matter is 9E's concessionary deal is the new playing field of the DCI regionals. You will play ball or Delta will cut you out. I remember 9E's NO cries, STFD, no way, etc etc etc. Push comes to shove, all those NO voices voted 85% yes. I believing you too will vote yes once your job is on the line. There's no unity in airline pilot groups.

Answer me this, our flying goes to 9E, where the **** do you suppose they are going to get the pilots to operate the flights? There's no reason anybody needs to be pissing their little britches. Nobody's job is on the line but keep drinking that kool aid.

I can't do any concessions. I already feel like I work under concessions. If it doesn't work out, I'll go work somewhere else.

RA stated on the conference call that he believes this will be one of deltas most profitable years ever. I WILL NOT EVER vote yes for concessions so that delta can keep making money hand over fist. Delta needs to recognize that not only is it important for their business to make a profit, but also his company's "partners" to be profitable.

If JA and delta can't make this happen, then it's time for JA to take his ball and find a new game. Prayerfully, my fellow XJT pilots feel the same.

Just as I posted on the other site. NO.

And in case your didn't hear, RA at delta stated "We expect 2013 will be one of Delta's most profitable years ever". Hope he personally thanked every PNCL pilot for contributing.

And I DO NOT, I mean WILL NOT take a penny of a concession on my CBA or the LXJT CBA to help increase there profits!!!!

Thank you

That's what I like to hear! Thank you.

If we look at one million other negotiations conducted by one million other business partners, we can make some reasonable predictions. Negotiating parties start low and high and finally end up in the middle. Skywest Inc. probably understands that the ASA/XJT pilot groups don't scare easily. In fact, I think there is a well established history of ASA pilots never agreeing to concessions, ever. Talking with many Legacy XJT pilots, I think they are just as hardcore. Therefore, the strategy of Skywest Inc. is probably a break even contract. Mormons don't drink much, so they certainly don't believe that either pilot group would give anything up. At the risk of having rocks thrown at me, I like Skywest management. I think they are smart business people and generally honorable. In that light, I sincerely hope they don't overplay their hand. They will lose.
