Wow, you guys are defensive.

Bye Bye---General Lee

Being defensive? Just back to your flamebait crap.

Why don't you just take off again. It was nice till you showed your head again.

Sure. 2300 pilots are going to leave. Because Deltas history is so secure.

Say what? That wasn't flame bait, it was a response to someone saying I didn't work at my company. I certainly am not a pushover, but I am trying to get along with everyone again. And there you go putting down DL, implying it isn't secure. Thanks to consolidation and new fees, both of which you are also doing, big airlines are becoming a lot more secure, which is good for all of us. But for some reason you are mad, even though many on here are stating your company will be stagnate for awhile. Get mad and defensive with them too while you're at it.....

DL guys seem happier, maybe things are working out over there...AA guys not so much...

unless they're getting a hummer every time they walk in the door, I cant imagine how they'd be happy with far less money unless they like long haul and wearing double breasted jackets and hats...lookin all official and important to all the distinguished travelers they fly .

So wait, are you offering? No thanks, I'm happily married. Have a great day!

I have to agree with GL. I see no bait in his posts. If I was a junior FO, especially on the AT side, living in the Atlanta area and looking at a west coast commute for several years, you're darn straight I'd be looking at Delta.
Cold hard facts is we are looking at 15+ year upgrades at this point. I would not blame any FO for making the jump.

AT FO here....91% seniority on the combined list. I live in ATL. I look to retire at #600 on the combined list flying a 737max to the South America/Caribbean. I will be working for a company that has not failed in 40+ years through 9/11, Wars, oil shocks, multiple stock market crashes and Jimmy Carter. It is run by airline people.....the only airline I know of that can claim that. I might have to commute for a little while in the beginning, that's OK. The pay is there, the job security is there, the QOL is there IMO, and the intangibles are there. You guys are also looking at the industry at a point in time....IMO. Delta is on a bit of a high while SWA is at somewhat of a low point in their cycle...only one way to go. I think I will take my "chances" with SWA on 6 year pay than at Delta on first year pay.
