Personally I like the uniforms here. The no tie, and no hat is great. It seems the traveling public loves our uniforms. They have style. Come on you guys really think a short sleve shirt with a tie is professional? Maybe if you work for the FAA! Short sleve shirts with ties are just wrong!! Ha and jet blue guys talking trash about our uniforms! Now that's funny!

Show me the law that says you can't wear long sleeve shirts.

I guess I'm a traditionalist, I think that airline pilots should look like...........well, airline pilots. I don't have to wear it so it doesn't concern me I guess.

Sure buddy. And I bet you wouldn't work for UPS either because of their brown uniform, right?

I would gladly wear the brown uniform! Be home every night, make a good pay check, get to drive a big brown truck, and no passengers involved! Sounds like a winner to me!

There was an article in USA Today a few days ago about some of the items being available for sale to the public at Banana Republic, or Aeropostal. I can't remember what store.

Company pays.... Have you seen a 300 pounder look good in any uniform? Better than wearing white with yellow armpits...

Its not law, but Corporate America would agree that it isn't professional. Only ones who wear ties with short sleeve shirts are pilots and the "geek squad" at best buy.

I agree with you, but the original person I was replying to said he would rather be in the unemployment line than have to wear the VX uniform. I was just calling his bs.

FYI- on the unofficial VX pilot message board there is a survey of the new uniforms. About 20% of the total pilot group has responded thus far. So far 74.5% of respondents call the new uniform either "Embarrassing" or "Disappointing". 14% either love it or consider it an improvement. 11.5% are indifferent. 20% of the pilot group is a fairly large sample, but because the respondents are not randomly chosen it cannot be considered an accurate poll. But to have nearly 3/4s of the respondents have significant dislike for it is pretty telling.
