Wow, I guess we have no back bone.

Guess its time to start firing off the resumes.

Refreshing. Someone with some standards for what's right vs. the outsourcing of larger 'Regional' Jets. Although there's nothing really regional about them anymore.

PS - The regional airline stocks were up more than 3 times Delta stock today. Tell you something is good for them?

And you bought your type........standards? Riiiight. The Regionals will be losing three times more planes than they will be gaining.

Go hug an AirTran pilot, they deserve it.

You're going to resign from Delta because of this contract? Really?

Since you're probably senior to me I think it's a smart move. I'm sure you'll be able to secure gainful employment in the sandbox. Bring plenty of sunscreen.

Oh, and I think USAirways is hiring. Don't let the door hit you ...

I think this vote proves that the DPA is dead. Had it ratified by 52%, they might have still had a slim chance, but with it going 62% in favor, they're dead. The head DPA moron also sent out an email update the other day comparing DALPA and the TA to the communist Chinese government forcing women to have abortions against their will. I can't imagine that they got many new supporters with that kind of insensitive tripe.

Interesting that the nut cases you describe and others on here ( can you imagine someone actually saying they are going to resign over this TA?) are the DPA supporters.
I guess you have to be a little loony to think DPA could oust ALPA and create the necassary unity to somehow get a better contract than the current pilot group can. What do they think, a whole new group of pilots are going to step up and get a better contract? Haven't they heard of USAPA?

And you bought your type

Bye Bye----General Lee

That's all you got?

Enjoy your weak contract when the 90 seats aren't 'profitable' next time. You know exactly how they are going to spin that. And DALPA will sell it again.

I'm suprised you bought off on this one General. At first you knew better, then you talked yourself into it. Just wait until the next go around.

And that's all you got. You're a bitter little troll on the bottom of the SW seniority list who's now behind 1700 Air Tran pilots, who DIDN'T have to buy their jobs there. Sucks to be you!

I'm surprised you're so infatuated with anything DL. Guess you didn't get hired. Good thing SW is pay for training, so you were able to get in the door there. Now go hug an Air Tran pilot, they're all senior to you.

Trust me, I got a lot more. But stagnation will be your own biggest problem, and LBB layovers.

Please try to repair your own crushed "family" before you try to harp on other "problems" that actually turned out to be a good deal. You'll probably never understand, it's your third time in SMF today and you're delirious.

Well, we all knew it was coming.
Delta is a widebody airline- its really all they care about.

Thanks to the many at DALPA who know the damage they just did-
And thank you to the yes voters who continue to provide me the motivation to work my business- further proof that pilots will always take the easy road and fail to support their own career.

As for southwest comments- I apologize to all my peers for dragging the Swa name into this. I honestly tried not to, but the apologists cant not do that. But be proud, Swapa is now the UNDISPUTED standard bearer for the industry.
There is a big difference between voting for your own pay- and voting to expand the whipsaw market where other pilots who will have no vote, and no leverage, will have to scrap out their living.
The good news is that there are fewer and fewer who choose to enter this profession, as they know they will be sold out.

That's the legacy of DALPA as the ALPA leaders in outsourcing: the next generation of pilots will have a worse career and choose to do something different.

Congratulations on the gains- as there are some- but be ashamed of the expansion of LARGE RJ's. The timing couldn't be worse- and the weakness couldn't be greater in that regard.

You are what we thought you were.

SELLOUTS.

I wish that were true, but sadly, it's not. He's ahead of hundreds of AirTran pilots who were hired long before he was. I don't think you understand just how much we got screwed on that seniority integration.

And you were a Gulfstream pay to play guy right? Hand over your 717's and move on.

Scoot,

That is a hillarious avatar. Thanks for that! Do you think Redflyer is mad guys senior to him now that currently fly the 717 will get their SWA 737 type for free? His face is probably RED a lot.

Wait, we got 88 717s in the deal. Those aren't widebodies. We also got rid of more than 200 50 seaters and gained a better domestic ratio of flying over DCI. But, you forgot about that too.

Bye Bye---General Lee

Good or bad, C2K12 is behind us. So what's next? Hawaiian? Piece of American?
Something big (besides the 717's and Lar-J's).

I firmly believe Redflyer is the result of a drunken night at a bar where numerous tequila shots were consumed before he was conceived. His obvious DL pilot dad, and barmaid mom probably to this day still don't talk, hence his obsession with ANYTHING Delta. It would actually be sad if it wasn't so funny!
