Rumor is that an announcement about this deal will be out within the next 24-48 hours - tops.

Specifics were limited, but the speculation will finally be settled... standby.

Just talked with someone who was at the MSP LEC meeting yesterday and it appears a T/A will be announced within days. It was talked about that the 717/319 rumor could be coming but probably after the T/A. Think the council has 7 days to review it before it goes to a vote. Many still curious and sceptical on the pace of things. Why the hurry? What does R.A. want to pursue? Sounded like many concessionary contract items (work rules, THC, Ave. Day, AVL increase etc..) not a high priority or were rejected. Reserve system not improved by any measurable amount. Probably get enough things to get 51% to vote for it. Blinded by payrates...Probably be alot of info on T/A's, airplanes etc... in the coming weeks.

I just wonder if Delta wants to get on top of any labor dispute to move forward with something else. Refinery is happening - I suspect more consolidation. Only my speculative opinion.

Just had Andersen say now that the 717 deal within the next week... I'm guessing that the TA is tied to this. He said that either the 717s or Airbus or both are coming to our ranks soon.

Did he say anything about the pilots coming with the 71's?

With all the deferred orders SWA just announced, it sure sounds like Delta went with Airbus instead.

The deal has to be dead, SW is slowing delivery of what would have been the replacement aircraft. We'll see if SW and Boeing got played by DAL and Airbus.

Apparently there are a bunch of 320s available for lease from a couple of Indian Airlines that are tanking. Who knows?

Bye Bye--General Lee

Why couldn't they be deferring them to get some DL delivery slots and then the 717's come to DL afterall?

This deal is not dead. 717 payscale in dal ta. I cannot name my source but it is pretty reliable.

While I do hope we get the 717s so junior pukes like me have a chance to upgrade, a payrate for an aircraft doesn't put it on the property... we have the emb 195 rate on there and have not seen any of those.

"AC Flown = yo mama" Now that's funny!

I agree, don't think the deal is dead. Fruition may largely depend on the outcome of the TA, however. No source, simply my intuition on the subject. Would not be surprised if some 319s were thrown in there as well. Just for good measure....

We gave check airmen that have been ferrying parked 717s from California to heavy maintenance facilities in Florida. The personel at these mx facilities have been tight lipped about who these airplanes are for.

No it won't. If Network wants those planes then by God Delta will get them. Aircraft procurement is not dictated by a contract.
