You keep tooting this horn. When, since the beginning of time, has SWAPA done anything to further the industry? Had 9/11 not happened would you still be on your high horse? Your "pay for type rating," to low benefits, low pay had done nothing but further bring this industry down the toilet. The only thing your group is responsible for is setting the new "low bar" for industry standard. Something to be proud of.
I'm glad you left Delta for Southwest and are proud of your new found employment. You should be. It's a great company. Yes, the joint contract with NWA. No further scope was released. Scope and pay were the two largest requests on this new contract. Scope is huge because it is more than just RJs, it also includes Joint Ventures (like AF/KLM), code shares (AK), and foreign ownership. All of them are important, and the company obviously wants something to open these talks so early. So, it is time for the Negotiating Committee to bring the DL pilots something that can pass. RJs larger than 76 seats, won't pass.

I just hear them and want to know where they are coming from. But then again, I have been known to joke around about rumors making some think they are real......But never do I say this is for real...I heard it from a senior pilot....or from the training department...as most rumors start

Being DTW based and seeing what seems like thousands of RJs everyday I fly, I would vote a big fat no to any increase in RJ numbers, or increase in size of RJs. I don't know any Captain I have flown with on the bus who would vote to allow it either.
