You'll have a chance to prove it bill-
Until then DALPA are collective sellouts and I'll hold each and every member responsible of scope grows-
Get it?
No quarter for those who "say" they didn't vote for it

You keep tooting this horn. When, since the beginning of time, has SWAPA done anything to further the industry? Had 9/11 not happened would you still be on your high horse? Your "pay for type rating," to low benefits, low pay had done nothing but further bring this industry down the toilet. The only thing your group is responsible for is setting the new "low bar" for industry standard. Something to be proud of.
I'm glad you left Delta for Southwest and are proud of your new found employment. You should be. It's a great company. The tide is turning my little cocky friend, and people in glass houses should not throw stones. But to think you are any less sellouts is just plain old BS, and it's pretty tiring!

If they're setting the "low bar", and you're reaching up for it - where does that put you ...... On your knees ?

In the last 25+ years, has DALPA signed any contract or extension that did not release scope further?

There is no judge, no bankruptcy, no proverbial gun to the head- (just like most of the times they've released scope) and NO EXCUSES-

Will this version of DALPA sellout?

It'll be the first in a generation if you do

He's kinda right.......quit paying for your training while you're at it. When you do that, then you can criticize others. I think SWA can afford it, heck, the Airtran guys coming over when/if the 717s leave may get the type for free. Good for them. Now stop that process for future newhires.

Yes, the joint contract with NWA. No further scope was released. Scope and pay were the two largest requests on this new contract. Scope is huge because it is more than just RJs, it also includes Joint Ventures (like AF/KLM), code shares (AK), and foreign ownership. All of them are important, and the company obviously wants something to open these talks so early. So, it is time for the Negotiating Committee to bring the DL pilots something that can pass. RJs larger than 76 seats, won't pass.
