just passing on what i heard....they were going to cancel the class, but since it was so close to the class date, they decided to run it for anyone who could not go back to previous employer. Thought that was pretty classy, but not sure if anyone elected to go to the class or not.

From what I was told today, there were four -200 guys that showed up and eight -400 guys. I was able to keep my current job and was told I'd be in the next class.

The deal with the classic class was as stated if you couldn't get your old job back or had nothing to go to in the first place, head to class. There was guarantee that you would not get furloughed either right after class or during IOE, all depended on future flying on the 200. Personally I would have gambled on the class, at least you have a seniority number and a recall if furloughed. Every year around January, it is always doom and gloom with the amount of flying. from what i am seeing the classic seem to be flying pretty good right now.

I got an email from aero crew solutions saying Kalitta wasn't going to attend the job fair this weekend in Phoenix. Apparently the CP emailed them and said all management people were needed around HQ that weekend.

I was glad they let us know ahead of time, and even refunded my money. K4 was the only company I was headed out there to talk to!

I wonder what's going on.

Schoolhouse News:

C.P. came in and told everyone to RELAX.

K4 WILL continue to hire over the year, flying is at or near record levels, new airplanes WILL be put on line....They just needed to balance out crews for now, hence they are emphasizing 400 classes for a bit as opposed to 200.

YKW

how many in class..? 400/200?

I heard from a guy that is in class right now that those of us who postponed class will be in the next one sometime between March - June. Is this also what you have heard as far as a time frame is concerned? Do you have any more info as far as anything else is concerned?
