Swa hiring 140 pilots

They are to convert the 717s to SWA also, so from what I understand the 717s start going over to SWA in 1/2013 and the pilots along with it. The planes have to be painted I guess along with 5 days of training if u stay on it. Scheduled to be complete by April 2014.

It will be like Green 737s and 717s on the AAI side, and there will be Brown 737s and 717s on the SWA side during the transition. The 12/2014 is a deadline for pay and going under SWA contract. And for the airplanes, but they can get an extend on that if management asks the union for it.

Unfortunately ther will always be some AT pilots who cling to how the game was officiated versus what the final score was. Truth be told, I as an AT pilot am richer today due to this deal. It settled our contract renewal with a pay raise and at some point all of us will be on SWA pay rates. Folks still bitching bout AIP1 when there was a real chance SWAPA would have voted it down. Instead of counting the pennies others are making , calculate how much better you have done since Sept 2010 and how much better you will do in 2015 or sooner. Thats real. The rest is just whining. Enough with the whining.

Anyone know how to navigate MS Word to change the required formatting so the SWA app 'takes' the resume? Straight up Word form doesn't work, it needs to be in a 'txt' form. Thanks for any info.

you can save a word doc as text, try "save as" and look there for "plain text".

I have an easier way... All you have to do is figure out which airline SWA will buy next and then get a job there. I used this method to great success and will be hosting a seminar for $100 a person to teach you how to become a SWA pilot.
