The ASA hiring department is hiring for XJT vacancies. I wouldn't put too much into that e-mail until we see more position notices.

why would it not matter when we will all be one list in the near future? The more either side hires the better in the end.

Not really the point. Announcements where previously made about vacancies at XJT. I presume Faud's e-mail is regarding recommending people for those previously announced vacancies. I'm just saying I wouldn't read into his e-mail that more vacancies are necessarily imminent.

Attrition will go up as the year goes on, eventually that will create some vacancy. How much?

DR says we are hiring 1K pilots by the end of 2012.

Im assuming he is talking about the combined ASA/XJT. If he's talking about ASA only that would make me a Captain just before the world ends. No sweeter way to go out than at the helm of the ship!

Yes, of course he was talking about both.

Lots of 5yr plus FO's at ASA, we all thought the day would never come. You "Kids" and your instant gratification mentality to life need to get over it.

I personally can say I learned something worthy every year I was in the right seat.

Thanks Dad.
