Some AT stations have the ramps outsourced but gates are all AT people.

MCI was DAL Global services, Swissport handled LGA, IAD and MIA, Servisair was doing SRQ.

Wrong, we do have contract gate agents at several stations. I have spoken with a few. I can't remember which ones but they are out there. From my recollection they are smaller stations.

When speaking to the SWA folks at SFO I was led to believe the gate and ground folks were contract. Not confirmed, just what I heard.

If I had to guess, I would say the following are probably outsourced gate and ramp:

SFO
SAN
SEA
LAS
PHX
LAX (might be a mix)
SJU
MBJ and any other Caribbean dest.
CUN and any other MM dest.

BVT (never been there, if it's seasonal, it's probably outsourced)
PWM (ditto)

Also, any Skywest city

BVT (never been there, if it's seasonal, it's probably outsourced)
PWM (ditto)

BVT is no more, unfortunately and PWM is outsourced ramp but in house Gate agents. Much like MCI, SRQ, PBI and SAT to name a few. In fact, that is pretty common to have outsourced ramp but in-house gate agents.

Just noticed the bid awards were out for Jan. There was a 36 hour PUJ layover on one of the lines. Obviously that went extremely senior.

Something about an "Octogenarian" from a previous post in a different thread a few days ago comes to mind...

Hope they enjoy it. I, on the other hand, will be attempting to drop just about my entire line. Half the month on day trips and half the month doing FNT and BWI. Lovely. (all the CUN, SJU, and MBJ lines went senior and, of couse, had New Year's Day off as well...) Oh well, the joys of being senior. ;)
