If Southwest pilots agree to a 3:1 relative slotting top to bottom with no C and R's.

I hate to be the grammar police, but this is one case where the entire meaning can be changed by using the wrong word.

Accept - as in you receive it with open arms, you take it, etc.

Except - more like an exclusion, everything but that one thing, an exception.

So, which one?

How Ironic, No Sh*t you'll EXCEPT the final and binding award. I think that's pretty obvious since the partial birth abortion known as USAPA.

Careful McDoosh. Your ignorance is showing again.

I agree with MCDU, just can't wait to see the "slotting" of ten year Air Trannies slotted in with 35 year Southwest captains. This is gonna fly! NOT

DOH is the fairest single standard for a reason- let's return sanity to the profession!!!

If they can't negotiate something we all know Federal Law mandates Binding Arbitration. All seniority integrations will turn upon their own facts. There is no way of knowing what an Arbitrator will do. Airtran is a healthy company that obviously brings value to SWA. Given DAL/NWA and AMW/AAA it's reasonable to assume some kind of integrated method.

SWA FO's aren't entitled forever to have the same career trajectory that FO's did there 15 years ago. There is no such thing as unlimited growth.

One this is crystal clear. SWA pilots will NOT be in charge of this thing. They're along for the ride like everybody else.

SWA still have to vote on it. It is a proposal. If the SWA pilots have a vote that would implement a seniority proposal with a 3:1 slotting you will not see a contract with Valujet.

Under ALPA both groups needed a separate vote. How the hell was ALPA going to get 50%+1. The Nic under ALPA could not pass. If the Nic gets forced on the East, then it will go back to separate voting like ALPA had it. There is nothing final and binding about the Nic . ALPA even tried to change the list at Wye river, which means the list is negotiable. ALPA proved it when the tried to get the West to change their Windfall award.

Oh and by the way, many Valujet pilots think that because of the merger. Once this takes effect, that Valujet ceases to exist. As does Southwest. What remains is a new company. So want ever SW had does not really count. It is a new company just like USAIRWAYS.

The first one.

I have been in this country since oct 1998 and have never seen a valujet aeroplane. Now I have heard of their existence. Does that mean you can't get your head of of the past or can you just not manage to get it out of your arse.

This thread is an attempt to stir the pot with Airtran and SW in the mistaken belief that this will somehow garner support for USAPA's seniority scheme. Each airline merger has it's own issues unrelated to HP/AAA which will have no influence on the courts who will decide our fate.

Moderator hat on:

Naming of names is prohibited under the ToS.

Use of the Scab term is prohibited under the ToS.

Violation of either provision again will get you 30 days in the penalty box. I'm not kidding, knock it off.

Moderator hat off:

Tejas-Jet, actually, two of the AAI Merger Committee members are here on FI and lurk. For all I know, the others do, too.

SWA still have to vote on it. It is a proposal.

I doubt those in charge of the SWA/Airtran merger are as starkly stupid as Doug Parker was about the AAA acquisition.

Did NWA/DAL get to vote on the "proposal"? No. No they didn't. SWA won't either. No side will dictate terms to the other...no matter what Seham and the rest of the pathetic USAPA scumbags tell you.

Hey becket, I thought YOU didn't work for Airways. Your emotions sure prove otherwise!! Whats the matter TOO boring at your airline? The East vs West mess is OURS not YOURS!! Mind your business!!

Welcome B-atch. Becket is a former Metrojet pilot that is now furloughed West. He can not cash in his lottery ticket, which would place this sorry azz 2005 furloughed West pilot about 700 numbers up the East list. I know who he is, but rules on here do not allow me to elaborate.
