MDA was USAir- wait until the lawsuit is finished and you westies will be eating a lot of crow

Regarding MDA, there's no point in arguing whether it was mainline or not (in some ways they were and in other ways not). Nicolau decided where to put them on the combined list and that's that.

That's where I found the message which has been deleted.

So, you are pulling things off another website. These ideas aren't even yours? Why am I not surprised???

I can't find it anywhere on any other website- did you make up the whole thing Cowboy? If not it seems like you are breaking some rules about posting other peoples ideas without there permission,

Dear get2flyin, please do a little research before you spew your ignorance on this site. I suggest you start at the sale of EMB-170's to republic. Please note that had the 170' s been a separate entity then republic and teamsters which represent their pilots, would have been forced to take all of the 170 pilots with the planes(as per the pilot contract at the time). The company (US Air) successfully proved in arbitration that the 170's were and always had been in fact US Air. That way the teamsters and republic only had to offer 50% those seats to the soon to be furloughed pilots under J4J provisions. This was palatable for the republic pilots and teamsters and most probably only way the sale could have been completed.

OK, chief. I'll play your game. I'd be willing to consider the 170 pilots as "Active USAir pilots" and consider them into the list. Here's the catch:

1. You ratio ALL pilots together regardless of Equipment and seat. No top 517 going to the East and then ratio-ed by seat and 757 to 757, Airbus/737 to Airbus/737, Captain to Captain, FO to FO. We use the straight East list (including ACTIVE pilots, NOT furloughees) and the straight West list at the time of the Merger announcement. No, we don't consider the recallees that came back as a result of the merger.

2. We use the formula of East wide bodies (*the 517 on top), followed by ratio-ed East and West narrow bodies, followed by RJ pilots (*we didn't have these "smaller" aircraft of property, so they go on the bottom...sorry), followed by inactive furloughees. Wait a moment.....that's IS the Nic list. Wow!

I'd prefer #2, but if you want to use #1, I think I could live with that. Too bad it's already a done deal and neither of us gets to choose.

Hey Nic,

Is english a second language? You make so many errors, I wonder if you even took freshman comp. It's their permission, not there permission.

Once a message is posted on a message board, it becomes public. As far as making it up, I could not even have dreamed up such garbage.

Nice try....

How come you are so willing to sacrifice someone else's Seniority.

1 thing is correct in your above statement, neither of us 2 grunts (yes that includes me so don't take it personal) will decide the outcome of this debacle.

I have 2 questions for you. The first is how come you are so willing to sacrifice someone else's Seniority. You and Kirby(US Air Bean counter) seem to have the same rational. The I don't care what happens to them, as long as I get mine, mantra. Maybe you should apply for a job with the accounting and labor relations part US Air corporate structure. You would fit right in.

The second question, is there or has there ever been a union in the United States that has allowed a sixteen year member to be placed below a new member who hasn't even completed indoc. training?? Just asking, I honestly don't know the answer.

I apologize in advance for the bean counter statement. I realize that was overly harsh. This really wouldn't be flight info, the hatfield and mccoy's or the Jerry Springer if i didn't sling some shiz in your general direction. The sad fact, in my humble opinion, is that there are some glaring inconsistencies with ALPO merger policy and the final outcome of the seniority list. Both Pilot groups will suffer for years to come because of it. Lets raise a glass to masochism...

Nothing negative to take from the designator of "Grunt". Many of us in a former life have worn the title with a great amount of pride.

I've got it figured out. st. nic is mc doosh's east coast man love.
It must be tough for st. nic to be supporting mcdoosh and his pft job at gulfstream international on that stellar east coast pay!
