I did not want to fly old DC-9's and thought that the Valujet stigma still existed at AT. I went to Midway and now am kicking myself, Doah! I am still working and can't really complain but would have loved to be at SWA now. Gonna take out stock in scott's tissues for all the tears I will be shedding this week.:bawling:

Better wait to see how this pans out.

It should be a DL/NW type of SLI, but it could end up like US/AWA
or Muse Air/ATA

GUYS! C'mon. You can't beat yourself up over "I should'a gone to Airtran" and stuff like that. You cannot predict this industry at all. All the guys at Eastern thought they had it made. NWA could've just slowly withered away if the Merger didn't go through. It's just plain luck. A LOT of things still have to go right in order for the deal to go through....and then also...we'll see how the Citrus crews are worked in and treated.

Head,
Thanks for the input. This is what I keep telling myself. In addition my airline has really taken care of me and my family for the last decade so I am very thankful of that. We'll see how it pans out hopefully it will work out well for the AT and SWA pilots.

What happened with Muse? That was before thy time.

I wouldn't place Muse with the ATA scenario.

I flew with a CA that was Muse and left after the buyout. He was pissed about how it worked out.

His words... "I should have just stayed put! I would be a very senior Capt and a lot richer!"

Good Luck to the whole SWA pilot group (Luv and Da Tranny pilots)

Try Muse/SWA...ATA never bought another airline....

Need to correct myself....ATA owned Chicago Express, but operations were seperate.
