Latest twist on the rumors:

To be announced next week that the 70/90 fleet to be sold and the pilots who are current and qualified on those aircraft will have the option to follow to aircraft to the new owner agreeing, of course, to the prenuptials. Seniority will not be a factor. If you are a 70/90 Captain you can go and be a 70/90 Captain. If you are a 70/90 FO you can go and only be a 70/90 FO.

No word on those that are left behind.

The rumors aren't true
How do you know this as fact? I never believe anything until I read it in the paper. That is the only way to get info on our company (comair). Besides, it’s known Delta mgmt. has had a grudge on us since 2001, so I wouldn't put it past them to destroy a once proud, profitable, reliable airline.

All 70/90s will be gone, word is theyre off to skywest. 11 more 50s to go, bringing the fleet count to 50 by April.
No word on any crews leaving with any aircraft.

Nothing like good ole airline whip sawing to end the year. My hope is ALPA will stand up for us. We do have a contract with fleet guarantees. I hope there would be some grievances if this did transpire.....I hope too much maybe

That has been the strongest rumor lately. Numerous people speculating the same thing as your post. Comair with a fleet of only 50 seaters? Didn't think Delta wanted those 50 seater's anymore.

If Delta has to get rid of Comair and Skywest is going to buy them, why not just hire the Comair pilots at Delta?? I know it will make some senior Comair guys go crazy, but isn't that better than just continually jerking them around like this?? I hope no ALPA carrier buys these planes and throws the pilots on the street!!! Delta has to hire anyway just give the Comair Pilots seniority numbers and let them have something out of this. I have heard so many pilots say "I hope we get Comair's planes" without even one word about what it would do to the pilots that would lose their jobs. I am about to lose a business to this recession. The income I once made from that was much greater than what I make flying. I have no idea how I am going to pay my bills, and I still have a job!! I can't imagine how scary it must be for the pilot's at Comair to not know if they will have a job next week. I have said many prayers for you and your families recently. I hope the people involved in these decisions show some compassion. There is no need to let these pilot's go. For the rest of us, this could be any of us in a few years. Good luck guys and gals!!!
