A former Freedumb Air "A" lister got booted from his latest job at Republic recently. After bragging about "...makin' it in when no one else did..." to everyone in the crew room during a Cat IIIA day in DEN last year. Nice work for a Cat I airplane. A concerned pilot brought it to the attention of the right people and the FAA did the right thing. This clown was also the one who managed to make headlines as the one who's runway incursion at LAX last year was a real PR coup. In a previous life, after an unsuccessful Comair career, he was canned from Mesa after Freedumb took him from ERJ FO (and passed over HUNDREDS of seniority numbers of pilots) who, after THREE TRIES. and got sent BACK to ERJ FO....and couldn't pass a requal ride in a airplane he was FO on for a couple years! He personally cried to JO that he was being unfairly treated because of his prior Freedumb experience for not being able to requal. I think it had more to do with him showing uo for the Oral in an undershirt and worn out uniform pants, but thats just me.... JO threatedned the training department and for a THIRD requal ride, supervised by the Feds, who mercifully ended his Mesa days. There is a silver thread through all of this. Every Former Freedumb Air clown has garnered very little respect since showing their real colors......nice to know its worked out so well....:uzi:

Wow!!! He's running out of regionals..

He never worked for Comair, but was also fired from Eagle and Pinnacle.

This guy wasn't an instructor at Riddle as well, by any chance, was he?

Coming to a GoJet near you.

Heard he's interviewing over in south Africa now...for some Nigeria airline flying 190's...god help them!

Actually its a cat II aircraft.

He sure was. He deserved all of this just from his actions while employed there.

I believe I know who you're referring to. He's not from the US. I never did a checking a event with him, but I have friends that have had the horror.

Puzzling. How/why would Republic hire him after he was dismissed by so many other regionals? Are they that desparate? Do they do background checks anymore?????

He was hired into the training department, after a few years of charming everybody in HQ by being a bug company man they let him loose to the seniority list.

Karma, doesn't mess around, and glad to see she took action on this clown. What scares me is Karma has such patience, she never strikes when we all hope, she strikes when its funny to her.

BBWWWAAHHAAAA!!! I watched that moron taxi a perfectly good C172 right into a hanger. Caught the left wing about 5 fit from the tip. BBWWAAHHAAAAA!

There are some names you just don't forget and DO is one of them. I flight instructed with that guy... What an absolute moron. I lost track of him after the whole Freedom A list fiasco and figured he would be managing a gas station by now. Sadly, I was mistaken; nevertheless, it is good to hear he is not currently endangering the flying public.

Are you talking about Uganda Dave? He could make a 3 day trip seem like an 8 day trip.

OP used to run EVERYWHERE. I remember joking with him... "Hey... the lions don't chase you in this country... you can WALK!"

His whole career really is a shame. I knew him BEFORE he started pissing people off. I never thought much of his flying skills, but enjoyed having him around the instructor bays. He always managed to make me smile a bit when I saw him. When his name turned up on the Freedom list, I was pretty disappointed. Sins against my profession will never be forgotten. I guess its back to running from the lions. CYA OP!

We are indeed. There is only one.

I recall he was fired from AE while still in training, or so the story went. Something about being hammered, a dashiki and an impromtu concert at 1 in the morning in a hotel lobby.

I too remember the running. Craziest thing you ever saw... Literally sprinting from place to place like his arse was on fire, but with a big grin on his face. That grin would disappear when he was with a student, he had a certain Idi Amin demeanor in an instructional setting. I remember being pretty confused when he started doing stage checks.

Heard he's interviewing for a position at ALPA National. He might give Prater a run for his money.

Ha! I totally remember that!

Wow...was just talking about him with the other pilot this last week. I remember when he got into a fist fight with a student in Daytona. He was notorious in the business. He always made me smile but always seemed to find himself in trouble. I still dont know how he went from airline to airline like he did. What did he do to get fired from PCL? I saw him when he was a FO at PCL....then the next thing you know, he was out of a job. Never did know why he was let go there but I do know that he treated my students like crap when he was a flight instructor.
