Sadly, an AF LtCol makes more than any Delta FO, or even a Song FO for that matter. It's quite sad really. But then again, I caved in and let my employer cut my pay. That's more of a Delta thing.

ACL,

Between my base pay, housing, flight pay, and BAH I'm pretty close to $130. Then I get my $25k pilot bonus. So, I'm well north of what you guys are making. Now SWA FOs on the other hand are in the $150+ range. Hopefully someday you'll catch up with them. But hell, the way Delta loses money, I'm sure you'll take a cut before you get Southwest money. Or Air Force money.

Brother, I was being nice and quoting your rank pay plus a few perks. Most nine year ER FO's I know are in that range if they hold a line. Now the 777/744 FO's are WELL above that.

Just think when you come here, you will have to start our at first year pay.

Clown, as usual you are one!! BAH is housing, moron. I am guessing that your base pay is about 72K, BAH is 24K, Flight pay 8k. My math has your total pay at approx 104k'ish. Plus the 25K you get in ACIP(assuming you still get it). That puts total compensation at approx. $130K. You see I retired a few years ago and know that your numbers were a little high. How did you make LtCol and fly all those planes and only accumulate 1725 hours. I have more in the flare than that.

You guys gotta stop feeding tanker tool! It only makes him piss me off more!!!

Milp17, it does your heart good to get some exercise. Least get it pumping in anger, its the next best thing, anyway. Now get to work!!

Ok, I'm only going to say this once.......
Nice post moon-dog! Tanker doosh is no more an a/f pilot (Lt. col no less) than Obama is a good president!
He's got more "stick" time playing with himself than fllight sim!

18yr Lt Col pay:
7748 base pay (likely no state income tax depending on claimed state of residency)
223 BAS (No payroll or income tax)
840 flt pay (no payroll tax)
2919 housing allowance (DC area) (no payroll or income tax)
Total monthly = 11730
X 12 (Annual) = 140760

Add 25k/yr ACIP = $165760/yr (no payroll tax on $25K bonus either)

Now throw in SIGNIFICANT tax savings (Fed, State, and payroll) on BAH, ACIP, Flt Pay, Housing and your north of 180K. Now throw in a few tax free months and you get the drift. It does come with significant QOL/family sacrifice!

Added: Don't forget about the approx 48K/yr (4K/mo) retirement you start collecting at age 42 (assuming commissioned at 22). Point being, I wouldn't dog Clown too much for his take home/financial set-up. Other than that, he can be a butt-head, but I'm sure it's all flame! I find some humor in it.

Thanks Schwanker. I'm sorry to all the Delta guys. I know when I got into the AF, a government job wasn't supposed to pay as much as a private sector job. The benifit would be my pention and medical. Luckily for me, the AF continued to give me raises and promote me, while Delta continued (with the help of Delta pilots) to take pay and benfits away.

Hopefully someday, you guys will make this type of money.
