OOOH I don't think so. This may be the push that CAL needs to get'er done.

First of all, this "news" isn't really news. Talks have been on-again off-again for years.

Second, there is no good merger scenario for the former AWA pilots, USAPA or not.

Third, there's merger talks, big fat hairy deal. Until the unions reach an agreement on the multitude of serious issues there won't be a merger...
unless somebody goes Chapter 11 first.
 
Throw out the nic, ALPA would probably be back ,though I would not vote for them. Their new policy uses longevity/DOH press on with life.
