Think about how much lower the ticket prices could be if they simply killed their ad budget and used those savings to let folks fly for 25 bucs or less and maybe offer free beer.
word of mouth would sell out those planes..

if your a tourney nut and like watching 2-3 of the games, it gets kinda old after the 7th time.

And if they use their own employees, then why are their vests brand new?

DVR brother-
with all the games going on- there's no reason to be watching commercials

not just during NFL games- they now staked out their spot during the tournament on CBS. Off the next 4 days and I bet while watching tv on and off for 40 hours I will see it shown 60 times.

i give it a 5 out of 10.

minus 3 pts b/c its extremely overplayed
minus 1 pt b/c the actors always look..like actors. brand new uni's and all
minus 2 pts b/c it isn't funny and doesn't even make the most sense.
plus 1 b/c it shows Airtrain

for such a smart and savvy company, you think they could come up w/ either better commercials or at least some variety.

WOW!! Do you seriously watch 10 hrs of TV a day. Try getting out and doing something such as exercise that will prolong your career and relieve the mental stress of watching commercials.

Just a suggestion...

No, really. They are all employees. They have asked anyone who wants to be in a commercial to sign up.

As for the clean vests: maybe they just wanted them to look, you know, clean, for, you know, TV???.....

...but you're talking about it. Those were some well spend advertising dollars.

The adds are working. SWA has picked up an additional 1% market share (mostly due to bags fly free). That is about $800M.
Not sure of the significance of the Airtran jet though. I am sure the marketeers have a plan. Go March Madness.

Commercials work for SW because you have to go to their web site to book. Commercials don't work for everybody else because customers go to the travel sites and pick the fare on the top of the list (cheapest). They don't even know/care what airline they're flying on.
Am I cynical or what?

Why is the small fish in the front smiling?
