Given the number of Delta retirements over the next 10 years, and the complete lack of pilots entering the industry, I wouldn't be getting all "giddy" about that just yet, General. Something tells me you're going to get to fly with some fine R.J. folks over the course of your remaining career.

I'm also fairly certain that with the contract SkyWest Inc. locked into "sick Delta" with, you're going to have more than plenty of opportunities to enjoy our fine R.J. service/jumpseat for years to come- especially whilst commuting from the Gulf Coast.

Nah, that is just based on his idiocy. Not everyone will pass an interview with a legacy or even a LCC, like him. And, SkyWest does have a long contract, but so does Mesa (for now), and look how they are treated. The guy who started this thread was wondering about Mesaba growing in SLC, which is normally SKW's home turf. It looks like they are expanding, and that should make you nervous. DL can put you guys where ever they want, and that can make life interesting. But, DL is doing it for a reason.

But most importantly, that is clearly one of the finest barbs tossed on this board, if I do say myself.

Wow, you are a novice. Pat yourself on the back, and the front at the same time, like you do every Friday night by yourself anyway. NERD! Were you an UNDie or an Empty Nipple grad?

Cleeeeeeeeeeeeearly you guys are jealous of my superior wit. You should hear me in the cockpit!!

Is that when you are doing "dry time" in the cockpit trying to relearn the flows? I bet you stink up the place too. Yeah, everyone can "hear" and smell that. Nice. Are you sure you aren't an airplane cleaner? Hmmmm.

It started after the failed Comair strike in CVG

I'm curious because I wasn't flying professionally then...what exactly about Comair's 2001 strike and the (then) industry-leading contract that resulted from it makes it a "failed" strike?

Everyone pretty much flies everywhere now. Mesaba in SLC, Skywest and Comair in MSP. All the flying is spread throughout the Delta system.

Except ASA, which is seemingly the only one that does not spread around to the other Delta hubs. (Except maybe a few flights from CVG) While all the other DCI's seem to hit all the other hubs. Not sure why this is. We don't even have plates anymore for MEM, DTW, MSP or SLC.

It's a good thing SkyWest Inc. is locked in with the percentage flying clause we've got with Delta, out of Atlanta, isn't it..............I suppose that if Delta wanted to shuffle out of Atlanta, in order to open up a Lubbock hub, we'd be hosed.

General, you'll really enjoy flying with me in a few years. I'm working on my Delta app now. I'm also boning up on my "wind check", "how long's final", "runway 28 is an RJ runway", and Delta callsign first radio technique. Next up is how to do a perfect touchdown on a taxiway routine.............

Classic.

Good Goes Around, Delta lands on Mike, right?

Wow, that was a classic, NOT. The good thing is that you will very likely NOT pass the Cog test initially, meaning you won't even have to fail the interview portion, or fail the psych test. You will fail at the beginning, sparing you from the humiliation of the final two parts. So then, you can get back to the barbie jet and fly off to Bakersfield.

Just like when you guys left the runway in Peoria? You are making fun of bad things that happened? Like when your mom conceived you with the help of a dwarf from Trenton?
