Amazing turn of events.......Sounds like they made a big PR release about being the first to bring folks back (maybe they cut deeper then needed so they could recall some and make a PR release) I know conspiracy theory....I did not believe it either until I read the "new" memo regarding "new" pay scales! Release below.....Funny no mention of the pay decrease for pilots! Average decrease decrease from 1700 to 5,000 depending where you are on the scale. Also they have cut the 401K, cut Sick leave, made a large Medical $ increase, and cut overtime pay.......wow! But based on the below the industry is coming back!!!

Greenwich-based CitationAir by Cessna is recalling 16 furloughed pilots. The number represents about 20 percent of the 85 laid off earlier this year.
In addition to the returning pilots, 13 percent of CitationAir's captains who had been downgraded to first officer will be promoted back to pilot in command.
"We are gratified to be able to bring back so many of our pilots at a time when the industry needs to hear some good news," said Steve O'Neill, chief executive officer of CitationAir, which is majority-owned by Cessna Aircraft Co. The company sells fractional jet ownerships and "Jet Cards" that offer flying time on business jets. It also manages business jets owned by others.
"The significant uptick we have seen in our Jet Management business during this challenging year fuels our optimism for a sustained recovery of our Jet Card and Jet Shares businesses in 2010," O'Neill said.

Back on topic, it was a reduction in future pay, not current pay. NO-ONE will take a pay cut, they will just get a smaller raise at their next date of hire anniversary.

Sick leave was non-exixtant, so how can it be cut now?

Not sure where the large medical increase is, my premiums went up 3 dollars, actually they went down now that we can split medical from dental and vision.

OT pays wasn't touched. It is still 1.5 times the daily rate. Since the future payscales have changed, OT has as well.

I never said you must watch Fox -- what I did was challenge your assumption that Dooker is "buried in MSNBC" because he believes the GOP neglects the working man. Why would his statement lead you to believe that? You imply there are only two "sides" in news in the same post where you decry the belief that there are only two "sides" in politics! That's what I found ironic.

This has been the trend. This is not the first thread to go this way. For the past year it always goes the exact same way;

1. Someone posts a thread on XYZ
2. Some Fox watcher posts some reference to how it's the fault of Obama or a snarky comment like this thread and RCAs post. (RCA started it on this thread but it's always the same type of post that gets it going and it's always from the right)
3. Sane people stand up and defend and then get attacked for doing so with loads of insults like DAS at 10/250 with his " limited cranial capacity" comment.
