They did quite a bit of interviewing a year or so ago and built up a healthy size pool. I’m told they estimate that about ½ of the swimmers have found other employment and would not take a job at 9E now. That leaves about 200+ inline. They already had the interview once so I don’t know if they would need another. Regardless, it sounds like somewhat of a waiting list to make 20K!

So Snappy "had a flight attendant commuter the other day who was in the pool for a pilot class..."
You guys hire Flight Attendants to be pilots, now that explains a lot!

haha...sadly i agree with you!

If it’s the FA that I’m thinking of, he worked as a FA at 9E once before and then quit to go to one of those $60K “shake and bake” flight training schools with the hopes of returning as a jet pilot. When he returned the hiring had stopped and they offered him a job as a flight attendant until the hiring resumes.

He will be fortunate to make it through the process after a year of not flying, not to mention only getting the absolute minimum training in the first place.

I think there used to be a DTW CA who was also a AA mainline FA.

Nice guy... Is he still at 9E? I don't see how he pulled that schedule though... seemed so brutal to do that.

At my new hire class at DL we had a girl from ASA that was also a DL FA.

Nice guy....just couldn't fly for sh*t.
