I am a tad to the right of center libertarian- and turned on Glenn Beck a few times in the past weeks.

The guy has a couple good points here and there, but he really comes across as a whiny little b!tch for the most part.

People fail to realize that no matter what side of the political spectrum- politicians are typically the losers from your school and college and just are power hungry idiots.

Good point. I've always been suspicious of the type of people that would want to run for office or want to have a talk show ranting all day. I think you are right that they are mostly pretty egotistical and power hungry and not very trustworthy.

It's funny, but a bunch of people all got their panties in a wad over the potential of some regulation banning laptops. Well hello, there is already regs against reading material in the cockpit, yet who abides by that?

I thought the Carter years were bad................! Talk about left wingers.

Well you asked a question but said not to lecture you so I'll keep it brief. In response to the Glenn Beck query, Glenn Beck does lie, call people names and make inane sarcastic faces to try and prove his points. That part is all factual. In my opinion, he has found a way to exploit some peoples hidden prejudices and fears and makes a lot of money doing it.
There are plenty on the left that do the same thing.
I guess all those people who watch his #2 TV show, who listen to his #3 radio program, and who bought any of his three #1 New York Times best selling books weren't able to figure that out like you did.

Whatever. You don't like Glenn Beck. We get it.

That's not saying a whole lot, using that rational you could defend Paris Hilton as a superstar, and what about those people who got divorced with all the kids and had a reality show? Being popular in America is not necessarily something to be proud of.

Am I getting on your nerves yet?

Like Dan said, popularity doesn't make you smart.

Wal-Mart is popular. I suggest you visit www.peopleofwalmart.com.

I typically enjoy Rush and Hannity.... albeit I'm a strong pessimist when it comes to politicians. Popularity attracts idiots and blowhards. Politicians are the epitome thereof.

I've heard people rave about Beck, but he whine's like a freaking baby. That and the gimmicks on his show...blargh.

But I digest. We need a 3rd party to counteract the current structure we have where voting for one is very close to voting for the other...and the answer is NOT the green party.

You are right he moans, cries and barfs all over the place BUT he makes very very good points and backs them ALL up with tapes and videos and the like from the communist/socialist DIRTBAGS of BOTH parties! Thank goodness someone has the nads to stand up and tell it like it is! If you dont like the theatrics thats one thing.....but the message is real and needs to be said! I for one like the theatrics it makes trying to digest what is happening to this once great great country a little less frustrating!

We need TERM LIMITS and a 3rd party Cause when you vote for most any republican you get Socialist light!!!!!!

It would be a waste of time. He's interested in scoring political points, not fixing problems. He equated texting while driving with looking at a laptop in cruise. That tells you everything you need to know about his depth of understanding.

Exactly.

I want Franken out of congress.

I want Congress out of Congress. I want being a politician to be capital crime. I think we should exile every single politician to the poorest, dirtiest, violent, and most backward third world country. Oh wait, I have to work in Atlanta so I dont want them around me. Oh the hell with it, let's just have anarchy. Why do we even need a government. It is just self serving anyway.

I agree that populartiy isn't always a good measuring stick. Unfortunately for you most people can see that comparing the behavior of Paris Hilton to that of Glenn Beck is rediculous. That's the kind of big stretch you'd need for your weak argument.

We understand. You don't like Glenn Beck because he makes funny faces and you think he's a liar. Those are very compelling reasons to not like him. I'm sure you've convinced several people with those deep thought provoking arguments. The evidence you provided was very compelling, as well.

If arguing with a person who sounds like a 17 year old qualifies as getting on my nerves then the answer would have to be yes, of course.
