US Air is taking delivery of 20 a320/21s and more 330s. Why would they furlough?

I'm thinking they don't want a thg/xmas disaster thus this bid. However if I'm not mistaken they need to give 60 days notice to furlough (now that all pilot working have more than one year). So I'm guessing a bid for March furloughing close to 100 in one swoop. If the 60 day notice is true then expect a furlough bid on thurs dec31.

Also don't forget training float. The 190 CA's (DOH 85 to 88) all need to bid someting else.

Either way I think they are going to stay fat for the holidays then hack us bottom 100 in one swoop either feb or march.

I think it is only a 14 day notice. I thnk that is all I got.
