It makes sense when you're flying an airplane with eyebrow windows. When you're not you look like a guy who wishes he was flying an airplane with eyebrow windows (or one that's begging deep down that you'll ask him what the F-15 was like to fly).

Priceless.

It doesn't meet the FAA requirements of donning a sweep-on or quick-don oxygen mask. The test for putting on the mask doesn't include the time it takes to take off the headset, takeoff the hat, put the headset back on, then put the mask on. Most airlines don't know or don't care, but if there is a Fed in the jumpseat, I wouldn't wear one. O2 masks have become a big emphasis item recently. Sooner or later, they're going to decide to make a point of this.

You must be a real treat to fly with....I use a hat or visor late in the day landing into the sun.. helps cut the glare.....and if the FAA don't like it well.....

They are probably the same kind of people that don't have the class to take their ball caps off at restaurants or the movie theater.

Seriously?

I've been wearing one for 16 years... Keeps the glare off of my glasses (I don't like contacts). Get over it.

T3700, you sound like my grandfather. If he's over, i'll take off because it bugs the crap out of him. He's also 83 and an Army Air Corp vet that has a Purple Heart thanks to some Jap flak. He says, I do!
Dude, it's the evolution of fashion, lighten up.
MickyDee's for dinner, hat stays on..........On a layover at the Four Seasons and have dinner, hat comes off..............

Yes........my airline puts me up in the Four Seasons.........I also only do day trips tues-thur, get 95 hrs credit, have my own T-38, wife likes girlgirl,........you get the picture.........
