Cometman,

I don't work for F9, I'm on furlough.

I got a good non-airline job and own a small business, so I don't need any luck.

Sounds like you are a really smart guy being able to predict the future of F9 with RAH. While you're at it, fill me in on how the stock market is going to do for the rest of the year. I'm curioius how the Broncos are going to do as well.

I am happy for you. Send me an IM and I will give you some personal financial tips. This is not the place for that. I will give one tip for free but after that it will cost you.

Why would any company give F9 anything but a staple. They were in Chapter 11. Their value was in pieces not as a whole. They should be thankful for what they were offered. They were lucky they had a choice between SWA and Republic. They picked Republic and they will live with it. If F9 was such a great opportunity for SWA as you seem to think, then why were they in Chapter 11? When are in this position you have to step back and see if anybody wants to buy what you have left. Then take the best offer. In this case they took Republic. They deserve nothing more than a staple.

That's funny, maybe you didn't see the eventual outcome. There was ANOTHER bid already there, and that bid WON. SWA lost the bidding process. There was some value, since more than one company wanted what was left, and the BK judge stated the pilots contract was intact. (they had to go along, meaning not just an asset sale) Sooooooooooo, looks like you are WRONG. And, if the F9 base would have helped the SWA pilots, given them faster upgrades and a DEN base, don't you think there is any value to SWA pilots right there? If you don't, you are blind. A staple was a slap in the face, the F9 guys moved on, and SWA pilots are moving on too, many in the right seats for a few more years, minimum. Gary Kelly's "No Arbitration" rule prior to the merger sounded great to the SWA pilots, but was a slap in the face to any F9 pilot. What a FANTASTIC welcome for those people. Now, I don't think DOH or even relative seniorty would have happened, but a staple was just plain stupid. There are plenty of ways it could have been worked fairly, like starting at the half way point and then going down at a ratio that was fair---even 1 for 10. That way, some of the senior F9 Captains could have been close to an upgrade thanks to their own loyalty towards F9. But noooooooooo, cockiness ensued. Oh well.....

For once you make a couple of good points. However, most of the time you sound like a jack ass. But this time you sound pretty good, not many stupid remarks. In fact it is probably the first time you did not end the conversation with something about Lubbock. Talk to you later.

750 Frontier pilot apps on file in Dallas.

I think the senior members at Frontier sold out the rest of the group. We'll know the overall outcome in 5-10 years.

TO ALL:
COMETMAN is not a WN pilot. Please do not take his posts or his cockiness as the position or feelings of anyone at WN.

Most everyone I talk to on a reg. basis[and myself] have friends at F9. As stated by our union president, we wish nothing but the best for the pilots of F9.

The rhetoric of the few here, who love to stir the pot, has somehow been interpreted as how our [WN] pilot group feels and thinks. Please ignore the trolls.

Good luck and to our friends at F9....beers are on me when I see any of you on my overnights.

well...considering we only have 650 pilots...of which 59 are on furlough...i think your numbers are a little off...kinda like your logic.
