I won't argue that! You know US Airways will step over a dollar to pick up a quarter.

Then go test an airplane on several different flights until they realize the cheap parts they bought are the culprit, and if they had bought the right stuff they wouldn't have just spent 8 hours of JET A trying to find out what was wrong with a plane.

As you know we are talking $5 vs $4.25 here.

Naw they'd rather let a contract carrier infuse a couple million and sign a long contract with them for lift they dont want.

NICE.

If I recall, YOUR jobs were on the line (and so were ours) when "the contract carrier" stepped up and infused money into a company that was in bankruptcy.

Because the "owners" made millions doesn't make it a bad thing.

"We" are still the highest paid, with the best work rules "contract carrier" at express and most of us actually enjoy our jobs and do it with pride and professionalism.

Best of luck with the additional flying for the 15 acft. Maybe you all will get the United flying...I hear it has Prop flying in the RFP. Now that would be a true role reversal.

Rumor is Parker said they have found flying for the LGA planes (15). And we were told that Piedmont isn't going away. But remember this is from Management.

So hopefully it is true that the other 15 planes will stay here. I mean they are paid for and they could be used at a small cost to add frequency out of the main hubs of CLT or PHL.

But who really knows...

If that's what the drunk said then you should probably start getting your resume updated. Remember, they weren't even looking at LGA according to Kirby like 5 days before the press release!

We would love to contract out to other carriers. But us being a Wholly Boned Carrier Prohibits this.
Plus I wouldn't brag about being Highest Paid, Best Work rules! Remember Piedmont was the Highest Paid, best work rules also back in the day. If you guys go down our road and don't get replacments for your 50 seat RJ's...... well then you'll be in our shoes as well. Or in even a worse situation.

And you guys deserve to be paid as such.

What I'm refering too is the other jet operators that fly bigger jets at subpar wages.

I used to fly with a furloughed F-100(86 seats give or take)FO at mainline who got paid nearly $60/hour more than that of some of the subpar "contract carrier's" that now fly for express.

We can't let the race to the bottom continue.

I totally agree! And I remember telling ATC that we have the Fuker in sight! :) Jeez that made us laugh all the time.

Yep, 23.00 hr to fly a EMB 175 sounds about right...?
Until that stops its gonna be hard for anyone to fight for a good contract.

How bout a 190 for the same pay? They know that if they demand average wages, their airline will be...average. Average upgrades too...which means every F/O would rather get paid crap to keep the quick upgrade.
