Do the right thing and get rid of ALPA before it is to late. Alpa needs to go. ALPA is not the Union we had back in the 80's. ALPA United had the balls back then.

All ALPA will do is watch your career go and hope other airlines prosper on our demise. ALPA could not help Midwest, ATA nor Aloha. Its dog eat dog and that is why such a large pilot group does not need all does dues going to an association that represents pilot groups that want you to go away so they can prosper. First your pension, now your jobs and then maybe your seniority. Its the ALPA way of doing business.

ALPA has been to busy representing Mesa, Colgan, Valujet and Trans States. Alpa does not care for us and they will sacrifice the Junior pilot at United with 10 years now. 1000 pilots on furlough all while your jobs are being outsourced.

With the smashing success of USAPA both at the legal and professional level, why wouldn't the United Guys race to independence!?!

Independent unions can be successful, just not when the new union is founded as a way to escape legal obligations.

What's the matter mcdoosh? Your man love at Airways giving you a hard time again?
Get back to the drive through window at Wendy's, I'm sure by the time your shift is over, your man will be a little nicer.

The level of intellect it takes to blame ALPA for all a pilot group's woes is not conducive to managing an independent union. Learn the real history of airline labor problems during the last 40 yrs or you will repeat history just like USAPA did and fail.

It's a paranoid ignorance to think ALPA is doing what you suggest such as aiding the outsourcing of jobs. ALPA could not help Midwest, ATA, and Aloha because of the limits of reality. What kind of union do you envision that waves it's magic wand and just makes impossible things happen?

You're proud of the ALPA of the 80's huh? Just goes to show your tunnel vision. What exactly are you proud of regarding United in that era.. Ferg and Ferris?

You folks better get your stuff together...FAST...whether it ibe ALPA or whoever. With Tague getting more responsibility, it can only get worse!!!

I think ALPA is useless no matter what the carrier. ALPA is a parasite that lives off your hard earned dollars - they try to justify their own existance. You don't need ALPA to vote as one and will be able to move quicker without them. If you need legal representation you can hire it by contract.

Dump 'em!

ALPA just pulled our MEC Forums down, due to a "server" virus........

Me thinks they don't want the troops talking about how CRAPPY a job they do!

ANY OTHER AIRLINE ALPA-MEC Forums down?????? I'll bet not!

SERVER VIRUS MY Arse!

It's up to the East and West Pilots. They will be the ones who determine whether they remain divided...or coalesce and move forward.

Any ALPA problems at United are dwarfed by the main problem!!!!

TILTON and his followers
Doesn't Tilton know that ALPA is a force to be reckoned with???

AA. (Don't laugh, it's better than ours)

I'm afraid nows the time for an in-house union. Too many conflicts of interest. Let ALPA continue to increase the representation of regionals. MY job IS being outsourced....unfortunately.

This thread is funny. Any of you guys ever read flying the line? Vol II is the better read, and maybe you should give it a flip.

The fact you're now saying the elephants should give the union to the mice blows me away. ALPA has made mistakes, the biggest one being letting the jet scope slide, but at the end of the day it's YOU'RE union! Take it back. Stand up and be a man. If you don't like it then vote 'em out.
