Each time one of these "outrageous" uniform violations happens I try to copy it in order to piss off the old guys. It's cheap fun for me.

So I've been walking down the terminal with the ipod, backpack, spiked hair, doc martins, and crap are you serious. I now have to wear a ball cap the wrong way.

Climbing on the van with some disgruntled 58 year old regional captain who can't even hold a good schedule... Then having him explain pride and self worth to me... that makes it all worth while.

Two weeks ago capt and I saw a United pilot wearing a baseball hat in full uniform right there in the middle of the terminal. Capt say's to me " you don't do that unless your trying to make a statement". Point is they are at the regionals and majors.

I had a United captain non-rev on my flight last year in full uniform, wearing a baseball style Obama hat.

I would have walked right up to him and said you're a public mockery to this position and obviously common sense challenged by you deteriorated morale. But then again, I'm an a$$hole.

I see lots of guys (express and mainline) walking around in uniform minus the tie.

Either commuting home, or waiting on the hotel van.

Hat or no hat, at least wear your tie.

I'm still eagerly awaiting the "paper bag on the head" from a Mesa pilot.

What's wrong with that? If a pilot wants to wear a baseball cap in the cockpit, that's their perogative. I know several guys that do it, mainline and regional. Even I do that when flying naps. I use the uniform hat to hide the bed head, through the terminal. Once I'm on the flight deck, uniform hat off- baseball cap on...............

As for it being an Obama hat- who cares...........

He was non-reving, not jumpseating. He boarded with the passengers, sat in first class doing passenger things while me and my FO flew the plane. It didn't bother me. He can do what he wants. Just saying whatever some regional guy does to make himself look unprofessional, a mainline guy has probably done the same thing.

I can't wait until you get on MY van....

-You will get to do a little inpromptu "trash can spelunking." And I will physically shove the little blinky wheels off your roll-aboard into a dark, dank little place where no one will see them blinking anymore.

Disgruntled? Maybe just a touch, but I still know how to enjoy handing out a good beat-down.

-That WILL make it all worth while.

Saw an ASA pilot without his tie on in the ATL terminal the other day.

Your van? Way to go dickhead! You finally got out of that Mc Donalds french fryer job? So does driving the van pay more?
Wait, are you even old enough to drive, junior?

You mean kind of like what you and your boyfriend do? No wonder General Lee is so nervous of your stalking! You're one sick little boy!
