you obviously aren't aware of the going rate for one of those birds, let alone upwards of 12 of them. to humor you, since you're obviously a cretin of the lowest order, i'll give you a hint. it's more money than what we've given them to date or could give them in the near future.
Think what you want, idiot. Your leach of a company is just lowering the bar for everyone else. Nothing personal, you just work there, don't you. When the host dies, the parasite will have to find another body to infect.

Why? This is good news for RAH pilots. New upgrade opurtunities and that much quicker to 1000 turbine PIC and the majors when they hire again. ERJ 190 time will look great on a resume to a major. They will know that an ERJ190 pilot can fly mainline style equipment.

Do you truely believe half the comments you write or are you such an arrogant dumba$$ it really doesn't make a difference. On second thought, perhaps they got a job at a MAJOR. If I was interviewing some prospect I need to ask my self, "He flew a mainline jet for $hit wages, is this individual going to know what to do with mainline pay if giving the opportunity?"

RJ!!?? The 190 is not an RJ! It is a mainline aircraft and as such should be operated by one. Let's get that "RJ" stigma disassociated with the 190. It is equal to a DC-9 no less. I know that our union was not informed of any of these plans and was blindsided by the announcements. Airtran tried a hostile take over and that didn't work, so Republic is just taking it over slowly and less hostile.

The DC-9 has no equal

if you had any common sense you'd know that neither the republic group nor the midwest group can legally take any kind of work action.

sometimes masses in numbers need to take drastic action in drastic circumstances. what are they gonna do, fire the whole republic pilot corps? ever heard of SOS? i would gladly stand shoulder to shoulder with you guys. so would most airline pilots i know.

do you have anything to add to this conversation besides worn out sloganeering and name calling? oops, looks like i called you a cretin in my last post. if you look up "cretin" you'll come to the obvious conclusion that i've engaged in name calling as well. my apologies for being a hypocrite (although i'm fairly certain i'm not too far off base). i hope this post will prevent you from quoting me calling you a cretin, and screaming at the top of your lungs about my hypocrisy.

Replace Republic with Midwest, and you are spot on.

We'll strike when we can. 75% of out pilots are already out on "strike" thanks to Hoeksema and Bedford being butt buddies. Wonder how much Republic whining we would hear if 75% of their pilot group was furloughed because Bedford outsourced all their flying to a company with 50% of Colgan rates.

unfortunately, there is nothing contractually amiss here. while i appreciate the sentiment that you'd stand shoulder to shoulder should both the yx and rw folks decide on some sort of work action to sort this mess out, it would never happen on a large scale. maybe you personally would. maybe a few people you know would. however, if you've been in this industry for more than a cup of coffee you know that most people wouldn't do a darn thing. what do you suggest the two groups do? sick out? wildcat strike? and you think a majority of people at other airlines would join in? are you high?

and when you strike, not one rw airplane will fly any of that struck work.

nope, not high, just sad as the very reason folks won't do this is because they think like you. my pilot group (aa) did this very thing in 1998 and, while the union got slapped with a fine, they got what they wanted. if this issue with midwest is truly as bad as it sounds, then both pilot groups - but especially Republic pilots - need to stop it from happening. otherwise, sitting here crying about it is pointless, since you won't do anything about it.

why "especially Republic pilots"? and i'll ask again. what do you suggest as the next move for both groups?
