I was there from 85 to early 88. Things were a lot different then. Delta only owned 20 % of us, Comair could initiate new routes on their own. Comair was the sole Delta feed in CVG, and was starting up the MCO operation when I was quitting to go to TWA. One of my Comair new hire classmates was from FL and was as happy as a pig in mud. His name is Tom Pomeroy, is he still there?

How about Mark McClure or Paul Rogers?

You may check on Airlinepilotcentral.com as there are quite a few Comair guys that frequent that board.

Others there will most likely have more information about Tom.

Pomeroy has passed, gun accident last yr
Mcclure, still here
Rogers, not sure

Paul is still here and is in the CRJ50. Mark is in the 70/90. If you had stayed, you would have been between 30 and 40 on the seniority list.

You say "being between 30 and 40" like that means something. At this company 30 to 40 means you have the 30th to 40th worse schedule at OH. He said he left for TWA didn't work out to well, but if it did he would have had a lot better of a career than any lifer at OH.

If he left in '88 he still probably made significantly more in the 12 years or so at TWA than he would have ever made at Comair.

He said he left for TWA didn't work out to well, .......

Actually, the hose job on the seniority aside, I don't have much to complain about.

First, I was lucky when I was hired at TWA. I was in the first class of a 2+ year hiring wave. Because of that I was an engineer for only 11 months. Then 4 years F/O in the 727. Then 5 years international 767 F/O. Capt on the 727 in just 10 years. Capt 767 for 6 months at which point AA bought us. That's when I went kicking and screaming to MD-80 school!

In May 2007 I turned 50 and took early retirement. So when you say it didn't work out to well I have to disagree.
