Yeah, but before this happens, the next bubble will inflate, oil will be $20/bbl, and Delta will place a record order for 250 "nex-gen" CRJ-200SP's (single-pilot.)

You watch!

HA, half the time the thing is being flown single pilot now....

heck, with what I heard i think Mesaba too and I work there. Not that I want that, crap we have not had much luck over the years. WHen you all were growing, we did nothing.......and as for our "boom times" oh yeay....a year of good times

You know they are going to come out of Comair. Delta's current campaign is to get rid of senior guys at Comair. They are already in the process of moving the company to JFK, which is getting some senior guys to quit. Apparently our company doesn't know to what extent we will see a reduction in block hours come August-September. So much for historic times/forecasting! If they don't know how we will be affected by that then why does our training schedule go all the way until the end of November?

If they were to get rid of more aircraft from Comair, it would take nearly 10 years just to hold Captain in JFK. To hold a line as a CA would take nearly 14 years.

Just had a Comair jumpseater today....was chatting with him for about ten minutes. He was pretty down and out saying that Comair's days are all but numbered. He said he has been with the company 8 years now. I signed the jumpseat form and noticed the position box......First Officer!! Unbelievable. I wish all the Comair guys and gals best wishes.

On the current topic though....I would not be surprised if Mesaba or Pinnacle (still no contract) gets the 200's pulled. But then again, nothing surprises me anymore. Here today, gone tomorrow.
