I had 210,000 reasons last year to pay $5995 for my type rating.

Gup

Is that how many legs you flew? Damn, those trips are productive.

I think the 210,000 is dollars. Similar to Terrell Owen's 25 million reasons why he will play football for America's Most Underacheiving Team instead of trying to commit suicide.

Wow, you came up with McDonalds making more money than Delta ever has. I am sure a lot of companies can say the same thing. Walmart also has made more money than Delta. Can you come up with some more that are obvious Professor? How many companies make more money than your RJ operator you fly for? Probably a lot more than make more than Delta. That is key---you are a small fish in a large pond, and can't stand it. Talk about over-compensating. You lack a lot it seems.

And, I don't bash everyone on here, only people who don't get it.

How are those European routes working out these days, General?????? I warned you they would fail-I only underestimated how miserably they are failing.

-Your airline in run by idiots-who put a huge number of their eggs in the INTL basket. They made exactly the same mistake they made after they bought those Pan Am routes.....This time your exposue is far greater-and you will be screwed.

-Who needs more proof that you are nothing more than a little man in a big plane?

Gee, thanks for having all the answers... You missed your calling in management.

Thanks for asking. Well, so far we are doing pretty well. Thankfully we have the fleet flexibility to swap planes around to make sure routes are as profitable as can be. We purchased 17 757-200ERs from AA (via TWA) just for that reason. We used to cut way back during the Winters and early Spring because we only had larger 767-300ERs, which may have been too big for this slower time period. Well, the 757ER solves that problem. We will do the same this upcoming Summer, using a WIDE VARIETY of planes to MAXIMIZE profit potential. We did cancel a few routes that didn't look as good as we originally hoped, but that shows FORWARD THINKING on the part of our route planning guys. Think of all of the variety we will have this Summer---A330s, 764s, 763ERs, 757ERs, and 744s if needed (on AMS). The 777s have other missions too. We also move planes from Europe to South America from season to season to also capture more revenue. Those fleet planning guys are great, and another example of their genius is the parking of tons of 50 seat RJs.

Say, have you interviewed at McDondalds yet? Do you need a reference? I think you will do great, and you will be the BEST at cleaning the stalls too. Don't eat the white cake in the urinal please. It's not candy.

Jealousy is very unbecoming, General-even for a comple ass like yourself.

Jealousy? No way. Besides the better pay and fun stews, I would not want their jobs. No thanks to multiple leg days with 30 minute turns on the same plane forever. Nope. I love my job, I love the variety, and I am paid fairly well. (my wife works in advertising and probably makes 6 times what you do) Thanks for caring, but you are wrong, again.
