I guess the Southwest pilots are giving up a good portion of their scope clause. Buddy of mine said the following companies were in the running to provide 70 to 86-seat feed for SWA:

Pinnacle
Skywest
Republic/Shuttle America

Not in the running:
Mesa
ho-jet.

Deal to be inked in 2009. Possibilities include flying in Texas and the Pac Northwest. Possible new cities include Des Moines, Charlotte, Charleston, Savannah.

Merry Christmas to the lucky winner. How are the Southwest guys going to take seeing that first RJ flown by someone else? Strange new world we live in.

Who is this "buddy of yours"? Negotiations are ongoing and I would expect to not hear anything definitive from your "buddy" for some time. Thanks for throwing darts, though.

If we do get smaller airframes, I hope they are Jetstreams or ATRs. That would be cool......fingers crossed.

It's just that time of the season when some people do a little WISHFUL Thinking. Our union has done a pretty job of keeping us up today on the contract talks. To date I have not heard anything about RJ's..........and don't expect to. But is still ok to believe in Santa.

If that happens Code Share Kelly's tenure will be shorter than Jim Parker's:uzi:

You are on..........We might need a bigger aircraft to carry my fata$$ after all that Nathan's.

....the ATR can haul your fatta$$ and more.....

Are you the same Pinnacle guy that told me you fly the "9"? When I said that I didn't know that Pinnacle had DC-9s you said you meant the CRJ900.
If it is you, again my congrats on moving on up to the heavy iron. If Pinnacle gets the CRJ1000 to fly for SWA then you can say you fly the "10".....awesome dude!
