I had a Frontier guy on the jumpseat yesterday and he said that there is a real possiblity that Frontier will close the doors this week. He said that the company will shut down by weeks end if the BK judge doesn't throw out all contracts.

He said it would only save about $6.6 million a year if they did, not enough to make a difference, but that the Company was going to shut the doors anyway if they can't throw them out.

He said he expected it to be done (Fronier) by years end one way or the other.

Oh god...this is going to be a good thread. a SWA dude talking about the death of Frontier...

It's gotta be hell trying to renegotiate their credit after the Wall Street meltdown this past week. Good luck to them.

Roughneck, shut your spitbox! You are only making yourself look like a selfish A-hole. Let me guess, you are hoping to take over our gates and get a KDEN domicile or something. I'm just mad because the Broncos lost, so I may be a little hostile, sorry.

Oh by the way, most F9 pilots avoid jumpseating on WN like it was the bubonic plague just like you guys avoid jumpseating on us. Have a great day.

I hope everything works out fine for F9. I jumpseat on you guys all the time and the crews are always awesome.

I thought we (Republic Airways) loaned them some money?

I'd say there's a good chance they may have burned through all of that by now. Although it's possible the Republic airlines and savings & loan corporation may loan them more if they ask.
