I heard that the charter co told jB they wanted to downsize to the 190s after Aug bc their loads fall off so much. jB said no to using the 190 bc they need them all for revenue 121 service aka couldnt spare any airplanes unlike the 320.

Travel Agent

Direct Air is like a travel booking agent, they put packages together and then they ask for bids from various companies. We fly some in out DC-9's. A good question is they use JB gates at MYR, is JB going to let VA use their gates? We may fly less efficient airplanes, but we don't have to fly them more than one leg a day to make money because all our costs are variable. We do not have to get minimum number of hours per day to cover the capital cost of the airplane

YIP I don't think they are JB gates. MYR only has like 7 gates for the larger planes and there are dedicated gates for Spirit and USair, but that is the only 2 that I know of. Seems like the other carriers just use whatever gate is availible at the time. Does USA Jet have a dedicated gate?

I have not seen that USA Jet -9 move in months at MYR. Is it still flying? As far as the gates pretty much you go to whatever gate is open except Spirit and US Air.

must not be ours

We have only had an airplane there since 9-3. Ours flew 5 days week for the last couple weeks, I would think that parked airplane would not be ousr; unless you are seeing it at night or something when it is not flying.

Revolving door in MYR

XTRA flew it for a little over a year, till they didnt pay us for 3 months or so. On to the next contract.....
