It's been a while since I had to participate in this part of the game, but what is the accepted dress to 91 corporate interview. I know it's likely a suit (duh), but is black or blue in...and what about the tie? When I was applying to airlines years back you just HAD to wear a red tie...any advice on the expected dress these days?

Please, save everyone's time, only thoughtful replies (no flame)

Thanks!

If you have to ask this you probably don't deserve the job...

But last time I checked black suits were the norm... can you even buy a blue suit?!?!

Standard interview attire is appropriate. Dark suit such as blue or black. Make sure that your shoes are polished! Matching tie. Shirt white. Conservative approach is usually the best in the business world. If any doubt talk to someone who works there. Good luck.

Really???....that was quite helpful...and yes...you can buy a blue suit at any nice men's store

Suit

Thanks for the advice fellas...already bought a new pair of shoes and shirt. What are your opinions on cufflinks? The department doesn't wear them, but I think they add a taste of class...but maybe that's too much...any thoughts on that?

don't be afraid to look sharp. A big pink feather in your hat would be a bit much, but if you like the look of the cuff links go for it.

At the typical 91 dept. you won't find all of the airliney "secret agent" stuff about the team of screeners that review the video of interviewees' shoe laces and how wide their pinstripes weren't. So, as long as the suit is clean and you feel good about the way that you look you're in good shape.

Single-breasted, dark navy suit with a dark/aubrun tan belt. No cufflinks (unless you feel good about them; I find them pretentious). White shirt, deep red tie. Shined shoes. Nice dark socks. Haircut one week before the interview.

Do some sim and interview prep if you feel its necessary; depending on your transition.

Conservative and customer oriented. That's what they like.

God luck.

Thanks for the info. I agree with the cufflink thing and I already am working on the sim. Thanks for the help fellas!
